WHOA: Trump supporters KICKED OUT of Ron DeSantis event
Supporters of Donald Trump were kicked out of a book event featuring Ron DeSantis in Leesburg, Florida. Security told the group that Trump paraphernalia was not allowed, that they had to leave, and that if they refused, Leesburg police officers would be called to the scene. The incident raises questions about free speech, inclusiveness, and whether the Republican Party is the big tent party that many of its members claim it is. It also suggests that DeSantis is indeed planning on running for president since there would be no other reason for him to feel threatened by attendees wearing garb that supports a former Republican president. The tension within the Republican primary field is already rising and it’s likely going to boil over as soon as Ron DeSantis officially announces that he will be challenging Trump for the GOP nomination.
Trump PANICS, lies uncontrollably about DeSantis in sick interview
Failed former President Donald Trump appeared on Sebastian Gorka’s show yesterday and he spent much of the time making false claims about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Trump claimed that DeSantis tried to cut Social Security, raise the minimum age, and cut Medicare, but in reality, it was Trump who proposed cutting these programs every year he was in office. Trump's budget proposals would have led to cuts in Social Security and Medicare, and his promise to rescind the payroll tax would have undermined the funding source for these programs. While DeSantis did vote in favor of Republican Study Committee budget resolutions, they were non-binding and would not have resulted in actual cuts. Trump also sounded open to using the nickname “Ron Destablishment,” as he’s still apparently workshopping nicknames to use against the person likely to be his chief rival in the Republican primary.
From yesterday’s show:
Marjorie Taylor Greene "attacked" at a restaurant
Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene claimed that she was “attacked” at a restaurant by an “insane” woman and her adult son who screamed at her and her staff members. Greene took to Twitter to express her anger at the incident, writing, “They had no respect for the restaurant or the staff or the other people dining or people like me who simply have different political views. They are self righteous, insane, and completely out of control. I was sitting at my table, working with my staff, and never even noticed these people until they turned into demons. People used to respect others even if they had different views. But not anymore. Our country is gone.” Greene is now being ridiculed as a total hypocrite on this issue since just a few years ago she accosted gun safety advocate David Hogg on the streets of Washington D.C. Furthermore, the term “attacked” that Greene used to describe the incident at the restaurant is an obvious exaggeration, as there was no physical altercation reported.
From yesterday’s show:
Fox News' Rupert Murdoch makes INSANE admission UNDER OATH
Rupert Murdoch, the chairman of Fox Corporation, has admitted under oath that Fox News hosts were promoting election lies, according to recent court documents released in the Dominion Voting Systems defamation lawsuit against the network. Murdoch confirmed in a deposition last month that false election claims were promoted by top Fox News hosts, including Jeanine Pirro, Lou Dobbs and Sean Hannity. Murdoch said that in hindsight, he would have liked Fox News to be stronger in denouncing the 2020 election lies and that he himself doubted Trump's conspiracy theories right away. The court documents also revealed Murdoch helped the Trump campaign by providing Biden television ads to Jared Kushner before they ran on Fox. Although the lawsuit could be significantly consequential for Fox News, the impact is unlikely to be substantial as the network is likely to continue to lie and appeal to the lowest common denominator of the American right wing.

This is disturbing, but if there was a final election tomorrow, and there were only two candidates on the ballot ("good" vs. "bad") and it had nothing to do with Democrats or Republicans, and the two names were Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis, I thnk we know how we would vote.
