The fake president simply cannot cope with anything but soundbites. The weight of office is clearly too much for him to process.

Just got an email about this from the post office. The important part is about half way through. Now when you mail something, think mail in ballots, there can be a several day delay before it the postal date is stamped. So it could sit in a local post office for a couple days before being shipped to the regional sorting facility where it will then be date stamped. The pieces are now in place to legally delay your ballot being date stamped when you think it was, potentially making it invalid. It sounds like you can still get it manually stamped for free if you bring it to a post office and ask. This should be a warning to anyone voting by mail not to just drop it in a box if your close.

Effective December 24, 2025,

the United States Postal Service (USPS) updated its postmark rules, fundamentally changing how mailing dates are recorded. For many decades, a postmark was used as reliable legal evidence of when a document was mailed; however, the new rule clarifies that a postmark may no longer reflect the actual day of deposit.

Key Changes to Postmarking

Processing Date vs. Deposit Date: A postmark now reflects the date mail is first processed by an automated sorting machine at a regional facility, rather than the date it was dropped in a collection box or handed over at a local counter.

Regional Consolidation: As part of the Delivering for America plan, postmarking operations are being consolidated into regional hubs. This means mail dropped off locally may sit for a day or more before being transported and stamped at a processing center.

Potential Delays: Documents mailed on a deadline (e.g., April 15 for taxes) may receive a postmark for a later date, leading to late fees, penalties, or rejected filings.

Impacted Time-Sensitive Documents

Tax Returns: Federal and state income tax filings often rely on the postmark date for timely submission.

Mail-In Ballots: In states where eligibility is determined by the postmark date, a delayed stamp could invalidate a vote.

Legal Filings and Court Documents: Official court deadlines are often tied to postmark evidence.

Bill Payments and Rent: Payments for property taxes, utilities, and rent may be considered late if processed after the due date.

Charitable Contributions: Year-end donations must often be postmarked by December 31 to count for the current tax year.

How to Ensure a Timely Postmark

Request a Manual Postmark: Go to a Post Office retail counter and ask for a free hand-stamped "manual" postmark. This provides an immediate stamp with the current date.

Use Retail Services: Purchase a Certificate of Mailing or use Certified Mail to obtain a date-stamped receipt.

Mail Earlier: The USPS recommends mailing time-sensitive items at least one week before the actual deadline.

Electronic Alternatives: For tax filings and donations, using online submission portals bypasses physical postmarking delays entirely.

This should be headline news! Take it one step further: Many states, including swing states, provide voter lists including party affiliation. Any ballots put in a mailbox can be easily checked to see which party the sender is registered for and Democratic ballots can be delayed. Considering everything else the Trump Regime has done, this is not paranoid.

Come on David, we all know Trump is a liar and completely and totally subhuman like the people around him. He was probably raping little girls even before he met Jeffrey Epstein. Trump even expressed lust for his own daughter when she was around 12 years old or younger.

Trump is a liar in a scumbag just like practically every other billionaire. You keep bringing up examples of that. How is reminding everybody what Trump and people like him are going to do anything to get rid of him and people like him?

Trump has told probably 40,000 lies since he’s been in politics. Are we going to analyze every lie that pathological liar has told? What good will that do? Perhaps we should be figure out away so there will never be another criminal like him in the White House and there will never be any more criminals in the White House.

At this point it might be best if the people take a wrecking ball to the White House and sanitize the land it was on. It would probably be smart to symbolically get rid of the stench that Trump and his corporate masters saturated the White House with.

Congress has all sorts of committees about transparency and government reform and it’s all smoke and mirrors. So let’s stop the philosophical bullshit and the theoretical bullshit and fix this problem because we’ve already analyzed what the problem is now it’s time to come up with a solution. Everybody with an IQ above 80 and a little bit of intellectual curiosity knows that America is not a democracy, America is not a republic and the rich control everything and not just here in America but in most other countries such as Russia in China. The peaceful solution would be to hold powerful people accountable by a contract and a tribunal. If they are not willing to be held accountable then they should not be allowed to serve and if they are currently serving and taking bribes and giving bribes they should be removed by every means possible.

So David you’re making a pretty good living whining about Donald Trump. We are sick of hearing it we already know what Trump is we don’t need you to tell us that he is evil incarnate. There is no point in analyzing every lie that came out of his filthy Putin sucking lie hole. If the MAGATS continue to lie for him then the blue state should cut off all aid to the red states so that those MAGATS suffer because they earned it.

If we had justice for all every traitor would be locked up right now. Every insurrectionist especially the ones at the highest levels like Clarence Thomas would be locked up right now. If we had justice every member of the Trump family would be in a cage.

If there was justice every person in Trump’s orbit and Epstein’s orbit would be in a cage and would be interrogated until they told the truth.

What little faith I have left, when Dems come back into power they will hold the scoundrels to account. Rehire all those let go and fire all the boot lickers. Clean house at ICE/CBP/DOJ/DHS. Praying for super majority to send big butt home. Put a lien on Mar-a-loco for restoration expense for east wing. Better yet send bulldozers there to see how he likes that.

Hound's avatar

If you think about what faith actually is it is the belief that bullshit is it bullshit.

People don’t develop integrity if they don’t have it in the first place and putting a D or an R after someone’s name doesn’t give them integrity. We should not have to rely on a person’s integrity for them to do their job. Bad people can be forced to do good things. Accountability will force bad people to do good things. Unfortunately, nothing really holds Congress, the courts and the White House accountable to the American people. Those criminals make their own rules and they have these stupid committees called things like government reform when they have no intention of reforming the government. Government reform starts with accountability and accountability is a threat to these corporate servants that we call, judge, president, congressman and Senator.

When you consider the fact that at least 65% of members of Congress become multi millionaires after they leave and while they are there, it’s pretty clear to see that they don’t give a rats ass about us we the taxpayers, we the peasants we the consumers.

Under the constitution we the people are the rightful masters of Congress the courts and the White House but in reality the Masters of Congress, the courts in the White House are the corporations and the filthy Rich.

The trash on Capitol Hill are not even subjected to drug testing and these are the most powerful people in the world.

The power inevitably belongs to the people, and it is all their fault:

Step one is to remind them of that fact, and their power

Step two is to get them to start thinking

Step three is to help them learn how to think, including presenting information in a way they can digest.

Since the power DOES belong to the people, even in outright dictatorships, we need to reach all those we can reach, including even the real idiots and A-Holes, most of whom are just being stupid.

Hound's avatar

I don’t think the power belongs to the people when they’re as oppressed as we are. In the American South, the slaves didn’t liberate themselves. It took the union Army to deliberate them.

I don’t think there’s any “lawful” to right the ship. When the law no longer replies to the Rich powerful, the rich and powerful are the law. The Russian constitution is nearly identical to the American constitution but it doesn’t apply to the everyday Russian. It is so bad in Russia that the Russian people live with the corruption and that is happening with Americans as well.

Americans have been calling Washington DC the swamp for decades and they will acknowledge that the swamp is getting worse. Americans do not trust our government nor should they. It all comes down to the golden rule which states: The guys with the gold are the ones that rule. It’s really that simple so don’t overthink it.

Douglas Gilligan's avatar

I recall in history revolutions. They tended to be very bloody. They often changed who had the gold. In our own revolution, the colonists had less resources than the king, who had more gold. The French Revolution. The Russian Revolution, China...

The key advantage to Democracy is these wars are translated into virtual wars, which are far less expensive and far less damaging. Until some dang fool decides to cheat enough, to throw enough doubt on the legitimacy of the elections.

You can choose to be cynical, pessimistic, depressed. I can certainly go there myself, but I figured out, that path does not find solutions. That path does not take action towards creating solutions. Even in my own humble way, one sentence at a time, I try to promote a better world.

I am not perfect, I am not famous, I am not great, but I can try to do something that helps.

The slaves had a culture teaching them they belonged to a cast system where they were on the bottom. In addition they were in the minority, even in those days. There are also always people who simply focus on survival in the situation they are in, and will even support the rich and powerful so as to promote their own well being. We have that today. While sometimes skin color is used as a quick and simple 'branding' to tell who belongs to which caste, but we all know there are levels to the caste system far beyond simple skin color, or religion or other obvious differentiators. It can be an accent, which school you went to, what quality of clothes you wear, how you carry yourself...

Personally I have no use for a caste system, I am more interested in what choices they make, their intentions and what their individual nature is (very complex as we are ALL different). While the power belongs to the people, sometimes they need help realizing that, and even help in learning how to make coherent decisions based on their values.

I agree we have foundational problems, but those problems will not get fixed until the politicians realize it is in their best interests (political survival) to take direct action to fix those foundational problems. The Constitution gives us the tools to fix things, including distribution of wealth issues and removing the idea that money is speech. That idea inherently says that the rich have more freedom of speech, their voice is louder, they have more say than poor people. I say that is wrong.

Many of our sourced from Conservative organizations, Conservative media and corrupted people. There are ways we can correct these biases without being overtly political about it. We can act to take the wealth and corruption out of politics and our economy, if we are bold enough to act, if we can get enough people to demand change...

Trump lies, and greatly exaggerates, ALL the time (Not an exaggeration).

Trump has Dementia, and his memory is spotty at best.

Trump is a (massively repeat) criminal offender.

Trump has broken more laws, more times than anyone in prison.

Trump is grossly incompetent at most everything, but does not know that.

Trump has surrounded himself with people who tell him what he wants to hear.

Trump is a bully and a child and thinks he can get away with anything, as long as he is president.

We know this. The problem is far too many people do NOT know this, so how to help them learn?

Will not argue, I simply chose to not diagnose the cause of the obvious consequences. Does not matter to me, as I have no involvement in his healthcare and he has made his choices.

I have interviewed job candidates and tried to figure out if their problem was lack of competence with the english language such that they could not help me understand what they were thinking, of were they pretending to such language difficulties to avoid answers that would lead me to more quickly realize they did not know what they were talking about, or was it simply incompetence, deception etc... and I finally realized it did not matter. In any case they would not be able to do the job if they could not communicate about it to others. Notably I have successfully worked with people with a significant language barrier, who were patient and worked with me to communicate.

Long way to say, I really do not care what makes Trump so incredibly terrible. He needs to be stopped and placed into a situation where he can no longer cause our society any more harm. Since the power comes from the people, I simply figure the best way to accomplish the goal is to gather more recruits, and every person that voted for Trump that learns enough to join the opposition to Trump, counts twice, so they are worth the effort.
