Trump posted Obama's address, an armed man showed up
Failed former President Donald Trump posted what he claimed to be Barack Obama's home address on his social media platform Truth Social. Shortly after, a man armed with guns was arrested near the property. Federal prosecutors have revealed new details about the case, identifying the individual as Taylor Taranto, a 37-year-old Washington man who was a participant in the January 6th riots. According to prosecutors, Taranto reposted Trump's social media post containing the alleged address and made threatening statements toward Obama and John Podesta. This incident raises questions about whether Trump was fully aware of the potential consequences of his actions. This seems like a clear example of stochastic terrorism, which is the spreading of extremist messages that can inspire random acts of violence among susceptible audiences. The incident underscores the need for public figures to be responsible with their rhetoric. However, Trump will obviously not learn from this incident, nor care to because he believes he can do no wrong.
Trump DESPERATE for people to protest in the streets for him
Donald Trump recently made a Truth Social post where he called for Americans to protest on his behalf. He wrote, “MASSIVE PROSECUTORIAL MISCONDUCT IS CURRENTLY TAKING PLACE IN AMERICA. THE WEAPONIZATION OF LAW ENFORCEMENT CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN. CRIME & INFLATION ARE RAMPANT, OUR BORDERS ARE OPEN, OUR ELECTIONS ARE RIGGED, OUR ECONOMY IS IN SHAMBLES, OUR ENERGY INDEPENDENCE IS GONE, OUR ‘LEADER’ IS MERCILESSLY MOCKED, & OUR COUNTRY IS BEING DESTROYED BOTH INSIDE & OUT. DO THE PEOPLE OF THIS ONCE GREAT NATION EVEN HAVE A CHOICE BUT TO PROTEST THE POTENTIAL DOOM OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA??? 2024!!!” Previous attempts by Trump to incite protests since January 6, 2021 have not gained significant traction, suggesting a lack of commitment among his followers. While Trump still enjoys significant support within the Republican Party, the right doesn’t appear as willing to take to the streets on his behalf as maybe they were before.
From yesterday’s show:
Cocaine found at White House
Cocaine was found at the White Hosue this week in an area accessible to tour groups. The discovery prompted a brief evacuation since it was unclear if the substance was something potentially dangerous like anthrax. Secret Service agents conducting routine rounds found the suspicious white powder while President Joe Biden was away at Camp David. Subsequent tests confirmed it was indeed cocaine, leading to the reopening of the White House. Although the location where the substance was found dampened its significance, it triggered predictable extreme reactions from right-wingers. Many are claiming the most likely possibility is that this was Hunter Biden’s cocaine, even though this wouldn’t match up with where it was found within the White House and Hunter claims to no longer be using drugs. Trump himself baselessly speculated that the cocaine belonged to Joe and Hunter Biden. The right-wing is making this seem like a failing of the current administration, even though this could have happened under any president and it’s really not a big deal.
From yesterday’s show:
Elon Musk is making Mark Zuckerberg look like the good guy...
Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram, launched a Twitter competitor this week called Threads. The app’s release was accelerated due to recent controversies surrounding Twitter, including rate limits for non-paying users and the restriction of TweetDeck to paying subscribers. Many people have been looking for a Twitter alternative ever since Elon Musk took over the company and started driving it into the ground by firing staff, pay-walling features, and being unable to deal with glitches. Threads is connected to Instagram and allows users to log in using their Instagram accounts. This is a major advantage for a site just starting out since millions of users will be able to easily sign up and transfer their existing Instagram followers. Past attempts at creating alternative platforms include Mastodon and Bluesky, but they have so far remained niche sites. Elon Musk is predictably not responding well to the launch of Threads, apparently realizing that it’s going to severely hinder his ability to make Twitter profitable and make it worth buying it in the first place.

Planting drugs and other contraband in the WH to make the Bidens look bad is only the beginning of what we will see next. You can count on more of these stories. Trump (and the Republicans) are desperate and will stop at nothing. They are all smiling and think it's hilarious.
