Trump loses it, posts uncontrollably about Ron DeSantis
Former President Donald Trump's obsession with Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis is increasing day by day, despite DeSantis not yet announcing his bid for president. Trump has been posting on Truth Social endlessly about DeSantis, claiming that he is highly overrated. In recent days, Trump went after DeSantis on Florida’s COVID numbers, attacking him on the overall death count and ignoring the per capita rates. Trump also put forth the idea that if DeSantis wins the primary, no Republicans would vote for him in the general election. This is an interesting development as Trump initially seemed to be looking forward to a heated and contested primary, but now he is pushing DeSantis not to even run. Trump also went after Kayleigh McEnany, his own former press secretary, because at one point she praised DeSantis but is now steering back into the Trump camp. This shows how petty Trump can be, and his increasing obsession with DeSantis is something that people are keeping an eye on as the Florida Governor weighs whether to launch his run for president.
Tucker's latest replacement fails HARD in cringe interview
Fox News is failing to find a replacement for Tucker Carlson with the latest example being the network trotting out libertarian commentator Lawrence Jones. Jones did a particularly poor job of interviewing Republican candidate Asa Hutchinson, as he spoke over Hutchinson, questioned why he’s even running for president, and attempted to steer the conversation towards a “gotcha” moment. But Hutchinson pushed back, defending his record as a Republican governor. He said, “I lowered taxes in Arkansas. That's a Republican position. I created surpluses . . . We balanced the budget, that’s what Republicans do. We lead in this country in conserving principles.” Jones interrupted Hutchinson during his answer and at many other times during the exchange, trying to make the point that the Republican Party is heading in a different direction. Overall, the segment highlighted the challenges that Fox News is facing as they try to find a replacement for a popular and controversial figure like Tucker Carlson.
From yesterday’s show:
BLOODBATH: Fox News loses HALF its audience after firing Tucker Carlson
Fox News has lost over half its audience after firing Tucker Carlson from his prime-time slot. Hundreds of thousands of viewers have switched off the channel since Carlson’s firing, leading to a sharp decline in the ratings for the 8 pm time slot. Brian Kilmeade, who is temporarily hosting the slot, received 1.3 million viewers, down 56% from Carlson’s 3.5 million viewers. This dip allowed MSNBC’s Chris Hayes to overtake Fox in ratings. The network has responded by releasing a statement saying it has been the most-watched cable network for 21 years and that it has a team that is trusted more by viewers than any other news source. While it is nice to see Fox suffering for the damaging and corrosive propaganda it puts out, this certainly does not signal the end of the network and right-wing media more generally.

STUNNING Fox poll reveals BRUTAL 2024 for Republicans
According to a recent Fox News poll, Republican policies are not at all popular among the American electorate. 87% of Americans favor background checks for guns, and 81% are in support of enforcing existing gun laws. 56% of respondents believe that abortion should be legal, while 43% think it should be illegal. The Republican Party is at a fork in the road when it comes to MAGA Trumpism, and they must decide whether to stick with this direction and potentially lose or go in a different direction altogether. The Republican strategy has always been to present themselves as an opposition to some kind of evil to keep voters scared, and now they are focusing on trans and anti-woke issues, but the polling is not looking great on that either. Republicans will likely have to reshape their campaign platforms in order to win or do what they attempted in 2020 which is to steal the election despite losing.
