Don Jr announces Donald Trump's death on Twitter, apparently hacked badly
Donald Trump Jr. created a stir on his Twitter account, now called X, when he falsely announced his father's death, sparking confusion and disbelief. It was later revealed that Don Jr.'s account had been hacked, and there is no truth to the claim of Donald Trump's demise; he remains alive. The account first posted, “I'm sad to announce, my father Donald Trump has passed away. I will be running for president in 2024.” Later posts included, “F*ck @JoeBiden Stupid Ass N*gga” and “This just in: North Korea is about to get smoked.” This incident highlights the susceptibility of online platforms to hacking and misinformation. Meanwhile, Elon Musk is reportedly contemplating charging all Twitter users, a move that could potentially undermine the platform's accessibility and open communication. These events underscore the challenges and risks associated with social media and specifically the issues that X is having.
Trump PANICS after blowback, BACKPEDALS on abortion
Donald Trump is facing backlash and controversy over his shifting stance on abortion. During an interview with Kristen Welker on “Meet the Press,” Trump said that Ron DeSantis’s position on abortion is too extreme and that there shouldn’t be six-week bans. This pivot garnered criticism from various quarters, including some of his ardent supporters like Dan Bongino, who vehemently disagreed with the move. In response to the backlash, Trump took to his platform, Truth Social, to clarify that he supports exceptions for rape, incest, and the life of the mother, while also pointing out that his three Supreme Court picks set the stage for the overturning of Roe vs. Wade. This controversy has reignited debates about the authenticity of Trump's abortion views, given his previous pro-choice stance before running for president as a Republican, raising questions about his political expediency versus what he actually believes on this issue.
From yesterday’s show:
Megyn Kelly shocks right wingers, says Russell Brand seems guilty as hell
Conservative host Megyn Kelly has challenged the knee-jerk reactions within right-wing circles that dismiss allegations against Russell Brand as lies, emphasizing the need for an open-minded investigation. On her show, Kelly pointed out that the Brand accusers have compelling evidence, including detailed accounts, medical records, and apologetic messages from Brand, suggesting a strong likelihood of truth in the allegations. She underscored the importance of taking women seriously and trusting them while verifying their accusations. Kelly questioned the likelihood of multiple women conspiring to fabricate stories and highlighted the absence of evidence supporting there being a conspiracy theory. Her willingness to address these complex issues, despite potential criticism from some of her right-wing followers, should be commended for the rational and fair-minded approach that she’s taking. Brand still gets the presumption of innocence until proven guilty, but it should be weighed in the court of public opinion by the evidence and knee-jerk reactions in both directions should be avoided.
From yesterday’s show:
Trump treated classified docs like scrap paper, wrote to-do lists on them
Failed former President Donald Trump reportedly treated classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago residence so casually that he would use them as scrap paper for writing to-do lists for his assistants. The documents in question were marked as classified and included sensitive White House materials used to brief Trump on phone calls with foreign leaders and international matters during his time in office. Despite the seriousness of the allegations, a Trump spokesperson dismissed the report as the result of illegal leaks lacking proper context and insisted that Trump had always acted with truth, transparency, and within the bounds of the law. The reaction to the leaks, however, suggests a defensive response that some interpret as an acknowledgment of the accuracy of the accusations. This development adds to a pattern of Trump's allegedly illegal actions, with some seeing it as a recurring theme of Trump inadvertently confessing to potential wrongdoing in the public eye.
