Trump likely DOOMED by STUNNING development in criminal case
New revelations in the Mar-a-Lago documents case appear to spell trouble for former President Donald Trump, in what is just one of his four upcoming criminal trials. Contrary to one of Trump's key claims that he was caught off guard by the FBI's search of his Mar-a-Lago resort in August 2022, evidence now suggests that he had been warned months in advance. Voice notes from Trump attorney Evan Corcoran, obtained by ABC News, indicate that Trump was informed in May 2022 about the possibility of federal agents searching his estate for classified documents if he failed to comply with a federal subpoena. This undermines Trump's argument that he had no prior knowledge of the FBI's intentions. In fact, Trump had ordered staff to move documents and instructed lawyers to affirm that everything had been returned, despite knowing otherwise. This raises questions about his intent and weakens his legal defenses. Moreover, legal experts speculate whether other Trump properties have also been searched but not disclosed publicly. Overall, these revelations further erode Trump's arguments, making a guilty verdict more likely.
Trump enters next stage of grief as criminal trial will be televised humiliation
Former President Donald Trump is navigating the emotional stages of his legal challenges and has begun to resort to bargaining. Trump's four criminal indictments along with a number of civil suits have placed him in a precarious legal position as he runs for president for the third time. Applying the five stages of grief—denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance—to his situation, Trump initially denied the charges as baseless and politically motivated, then expressed his anger towards those he saw as responsible. Presently, he appears to be entering the bargaining stage. Trump is posting to Truth Social about how he’d like to challenge his rivals to an acuity and physical fitness test, apparently wishing this could replace his upcoming trials. While the order of these grieving stages remains uncertain, it is evident that Trump is increasingly realizing the gravity of his legal troubles as shown by the outlandish measures he is taking.
From yesterday’s show:
Vivek Ramaswamy surge over, Nikki Haley rising, RFK Jr down 36%
The 2024 Republican primary is seeing a shifting around of second and third-tier contenders, with Donald Trump maintaining a commanding 40-point lead over the rest of the field. Vivek Ramaswamy, once an unknown candidate, surged to nearly 8% in the polls but has since faced a slight decline, perhaps due to a number of his inconsistencies and falsehoods being exposed. Nikki Haley, initially considered a weak contender, gained prominence after a strong Republican debate performance, outshining Ramaswamy in particular on the topic of foreign policy. Ron DeSantis, once considered a serious threat to Trump, has experienced a notable drop in support, potentially paving the way for Trump to coast to victory. Additionally, on the Democratic side, speculation about Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s candidacy initially generated some interest, but his support has dwindled by almost 40%, raising doubts about his viability. Though there has been movement among the rest of the field, as time goes on, it’s becoming more clear that the 2024 general election matchup will likely be a rematch of the 2020 race.
From yesterday’s show:
Trump gets BRUTAL welcome at Iowa college football game
Failed former President Donald Trump faced a mixed and somewhat hostile reception when attending a college football game between Iowa and Iowa State, marked by boos from the crowd and individuals flipping him off. This incident reflects a common occurrence where politicians, regardless of their party, often encounter criticism at sporting events, although there are exceptions like Trump's positive reception at UFC events and George W. Bush's warm welcome at Yankee Stadium after 9/11. Moreover, this raises questions about Iowa's political landscape, historically a red state that Trump easily won in 2020. It remains uncertain whether Democrats could perform better there in the 2024 election. Current polling shows Trump with a substantial lead over potential rival Ron DeSantis in Iowa, but limited data is available for Biden versus Trump. Nonetheless, Trump might consider avoiding sporting events in the near future based on this mixed reception.
