Biden will propose 25% billionaire tax, new Medicare tax
President Joe Biden is proposing new taxes in his White House budget, including a 25% minimum tax on the richest 0.01% of Americans, an increase in the top tax rate for those making $400,000 a year up to 39.6% from 37%, and an increase in the Medicare tax rate on incomes exceeding $400,000 per year. These measures are expected to increase tax revenues by over $117 billion over ten years. The proposals are in line with Biden's promise not to increase taxes on those earning less than $400,000 per year. However, it is unlikely that these proposals will pass since White House budgets are political documents that need to go through the House of Representatives, currently controlled by Republicans. Nevertheless, it’s good to see that Biden remains committed to following through with the promises he made during his campaign, and if he’s reelected president with Democrats once again controlling both the House and Senate, perhaps he’ll be able to make this a reality.
Fox guest: Lack of hotel bibles the reason for increased "lawlessness"
Fox News guest Stacy Washington suggested that the decline of bibles in hotel rooms is one of the reasons for increased lawlessness in the United States. Washington claimed that the presence of bibles in hotel rooms may have prevented people from engaging in criminal activities, as they could read the bible instead of hiring a prostitute or seeking drugs. She said, “you see the increase in lawlessness when we take god out of everything. So we're so far down the continuum on that. And I'm talking about the fact that if you stay in a hotel anywhere, you can't even find a bible in the nightstand anymore.” At this point, another Fox guest chimed in and said “that’s offensive,” referring to the actions of the hotels. Washington’s hypothesis connecting hotel bibles to crime doesn’t seem to make a whole lot of sense, but apparently to Fox hosts and viewers, it does.
From yesterday’s show:
Trump promises flying cars if elected in new bogus "plan"
Failed former President Donald Trump is now promising flying cars as part of his new set of futuristic policy proposals. Trump is calling for a contest to create futuristic freedom cities, which would include modern cities and flying cars. Flying cars have been a symbol of futuristic societies, and their development has been a topic of discussion since the 1930s and ‘40s. However, their practicality has always been questionable due to safety concerns and the need for advanced technology. Despite this, Trump is promising flying cars between 2025 and 2029, which is highly unrealistic and another example of Trump's tendency to become fixated on something without understanding it fully. While the inclusion of flying cars in Trump's policy proposals is intriguing, it remains to be seen whether it will be taken seriously by the public.
From yesterday’s show:
Tucker now sucking up to Trump after disastrous leaked texts
Fox News host Tucker Carlson is now doing damage control after leaked texts revealed that he doesn’t like Donald Trump and wishes he no longer had to cover him. Carlson ran a segment on his show last week wherein he appeared to take Trump’s recent policy proposals seriously, even though they included things like flying cars and prettier buildings. Of course, if a Democrat had proposed these ideas, they would have been met with Tucker’s trademark maniacal laugh. It’s possible that Carlson and Fox executives had a conversation behind the scenes meant to clean up the mess between Tucker and Trump. Fox wouldn’t want to do anything that would jeopardize the possibility of the network hosting primary debates and having access to someone who could once again become president of the United States.

Regarding the women that wants a bible in every hotel room...does she also want the Koran or the Torah? I am so sick of these Christian Nationalist trying to force their life agenda on everyone else. :(
