Trump's brain fails, says Jeb Bush started Iraq War at sad speech
During a recent speech in Summerville, South Carolina, Donald Trump had a number of cognitive glitches and incoherent statements that if made by Joe Biden would be seen by Republicans as grounds for removal from office. At the outset of the speech, Trump was introduced as the current president, despite his tenure having ended two and a half years ago. During his address, Trump notably confused Jeb Bush with George W. Bush as the individual responsible for the Iraq War. He went on to have more instances of confusion, including mixing up Hillary Clinton with Barack Obama and making unsubstantiated claims regarding China's role in the COVID-19 pandemic. Trump’s discombobulated remarks prompted Fox News to abruptly cut away from his speech, underscoring concerns about his waning political influence even within his core supporters. This episode demonstrates the stark disparity in how Trump is treated compared to Biden and other leaders and raises questions about the potential ramifications of his erratic behavior on his loyal base and his fitness for office.
HOLY $&!T: Fmr Ukrainian President destroys Fox host, host melts
In a recent Fox News interview with former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, host Brian Kilmeade attempted to push a conspiracy theory about Joe Biden that ended up completely backfiring on him. Kilmeade suggested that Joe Biden had Viktor Shokin, a Ukrainian prosecutor, fired to protect Hunter Biden's interests and cover up corrupt business deals that Joe Biden benefited from. However, Poroshenko strongly refuted this claim by emphasizing that Shokin was fired due to his own misconduct and that there was bipartisan and international support for this decision. Kilmeade's attempt to propagate the conspiracy theory completely backfired, and his frustration was evident as Poroshenko discredited it with facts and a much wider knowledge base. This incident highlights the persistence of baseless conspiracy theories surrounding the Bidens, even when the evidence refutes their claims. It serves as a stark reminder of the importance of seeking and relying on credible sources and facts when evaluating political claims, particularly in the era of misinformation and polarized media.
From yesterday’s show:
Marjorie Taylor Greene posts Channukah menorah on Yom Kippur
Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has faced criticism once again, this time for a misguided Yom Kippur greeting she posted on social media. She shared a message that wished a meaningful fast and a blessed Yom Kippur alongside a picture of a Channukah menorah and a shofar, both unrelated to Yom Kippur, which is a solemn Jewish day of atonement. Greene later deleted the post, but it drew backlash for its insensitivity and lack of cultural awareness. The incident is not an example of overt anti-Semitism but rather reflects indifference or negligence in understanding and respecting religious traditions. This incident comes only a week after Donald Trump faced scrutiny for his Rosh Hashanah message, where he urged Jewish Americans to be grateful to him and “make better choices.” While Greene has a history of making controversial statements, this instance is more of a careless oversight than a deliberate act of anti-Semitism.
From yesterday’s show:
Dem Senator and wife INDICTED on BRUTAL bribery charges
Democratic Senator Bob Menendez and his wife Nadine have been indicted on bribery charges, accused of accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes, including gold, cash, mortgage payments, a no-show job, and a luxury vehicle in exchange for his influence. There are a number of pieces of evidence, including the discovery of half a million dollars in cash and gold bars, along with Menendez's online search for the value of a kilo of gold. This is the second set of corruption charges against Menendez in a decade, and he is up for re-election next year. A number of Democrats have already called for the senator to step down, including John Fetterman, Sherrod Brown, and Nancy Pelosi. This highlights differing reactions from Democrats compared to Republicans in similar situations. There isn't a rush to donate to his legal defense fund or to call the investigation a witch hunt, as right-wingers do whenever Trump gets in trouble. This matter raises an ethical question about whether public officials should resign based solely on allegations or if they should first have to be found guilty in a court of law.

hello david. i was just listening to your show from 9/26 featuring Yascha Mounk. your conversation with Mr. Mounk ended rather abruptly, actually it ended a bit curtly. you didn't give him an uninterrupted chance to talk. it seemed to me that you missed his entire point or that you simply were not interested in his opinion. imay i suggest listening to The Bulwark podcast "The Identity Trap" -Charlie Sykes interviews Yascha Mounk. I think you might find it interesting. 3 minute read:
