Biden calls Kamala "Trump," Zelenskyy "Putin," displays deep knowledge in press conference
At a high-stakes NATO summit press conference, President Joe Biden aimed to demonstrate his fitness for office and address concerns raised by his performance in the June 27 debate. The press conference, described as a "big boy press conference" by his team, featured notable gaffes, including Biden mistakenly referring to Vice President Kamala Harris as Vice President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as President Putin. These errors prompted visible concern from his team. Biden also addressed his cognitive health, stating he undergoes regular neurological exams and is guided by his doctors' recommendations. When questioned about the possibility of stepping down if Vice President Harris polled better against Trump, Biden asserted he would only reconsider if advised he could not win. Despite his deep knowledge and experience, Biden's performance was marred by moments of confusion and rambling, raising doubts about his ability to reassure voters.
OOPS: Trump cognitive decline bomb goes off on Fox News
Since June 27th, corporate media has been fixated on President Joe Biden's cognitive fitness, while largely ignoring warning signs about Donald Trump's cognitive state during his presidency. This imbalance was highlighted when Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal briefly raised the issue on Fox News, questioning if it was acceptable to have Trump in cognitive decline for four years. This moment, though minor, was a significant shift in the media's narrative. The discussion extends to whether it's appropriate for a convicted felon and civilly liable rapist like Trump to run for president again. The handling of such critical topics has been a corporate media failure, and efforts to address Trump's cognitive issues have been minimal. Despite this, Jayapal's comments on Fox News were a rare instance of addressing the issue directly.
From yesterday’s show:
Inflation NEGATIVE in June, MAGA in SHAMBLES
In June, inflation fell by 0.1%, allowing the Federal Reserve to consider lowering interest rates later this year. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) decreased, marking its lowest level in over three years. Specific drops included gas and electricity prices, with rent showing its smallest increase since August 2020. This decline has been seized upon by MAGA supporters, who have long argued that true control of inflation would only be evident with actual declines in prices. However, this perspective overlooks the complexities of inflation and deflation. Moderate inflation, typically between 2-3%, is necessary for economic growth, ensuring that prices rise at a manageable rate and encouraging consumer spending. Conversely, deflation can lead to reduced consumer spending and economic stagnation. While the 0.1% drop is not significant in itself, it illustrates the ongoing debate about the economy’s health under President Joe Biden.

PROPAGANDA SPIRAL: Dem "concern" about Trump winning spun as anti-Biden
Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal expressed deep concern about President Biden potentially losing the upcoming election, emphasizing the existential threat posed by a Trump presidency. Blumenthal clearly stated his support for Biden as the Democratic nominee and stressed the urgency of solidifying this choice to prevent Trump from winning. However, his comments were taken out of context to suggest he was worried about Biden's health and mental state. This distortion misrepresented Blumenthal’s primary concern, which was the danger Trump poses to the country. It highlights the importance of critically analyzing primary sources and verifying information by viewing original content to understand the true context of any statement.
