Marco Rubio Brutally Crushed in Disastrous Debate
Democratic Senate candidate Val Demings took incumbent Republican Marco Rubio to task in their debate last night, scoring a number of points in an attempt to shift the polls in her direction right before Election Day. Whereas other Democratic candidates this cycle have been tepid in their debate performances, Demings was assertive and had some strong and direct lines at Rubio. For example, she said, “I think there was a time when you did not lie in order to win. I don’t know what happened to you” and “how gullible do you think Florida voters are?” Rubio also couldn’t use the attack many Republicans use against the left, which is to say they’re anti-police. That’s because Demings is herself a former police officer and was even Chief of the Orlando Police Department. Unfortunately, there is still a decent gap in the polling, with Rubio up by an RCP average of 4.7% over Demings with three weeks to go.
Trump Confronted About Kanye's Anti-Semitism, IMPLODES
Donald Trump was asked during an interview on the Salem News Network about Kanye West’s string of antisemitic remarks over the past two weeks and the former president didn’t know how to handle it. On the one hand, Kanye’s comments have been indefensible, but on the other, he’s a Trump supporter and a useful ally. All Trump could say was, “well I haven’t really seen the statements he’s made. I did watch the Tucker Carlson interview and he was really nice to me.” The idea that Trump hasn’t heard more of Kanye’s comments is totally unbelievable. Also, it’s telling that he’s fine with West, so long as he continues to suck up to him. Even the fact that Trump’s own son-in-law, Jared Kushner, was the subject of one of Kanye’s attacks isn’t enough to shake the former president.

"Cop" Defends Herschel Walker's "Badge" in Funniest Video of All Time
Herschel Walker is doubling down on the idea that he’s a police officer because he had an honorary cop badge. This all started during Walker’s debate with Raphael Warnock last week where he pulled out a badge to show his law enforcement credentials before getting admonished by the moderator to put it away because props weren’t allowed. Since then, Walker has brought on the sheriff who gave him the badge to record a video to cover for him, but it only added to the embarrassment. The sheriff said, “if Herschel’s badge is a prop then I guess this badge I wear every day to protect the citizens, I guess it’s a prop also. But these are real badges and I gave this to my friend for all he’s done for this country and this county.” Every single one of these moments that are meant to prove Walker is sort of a police officer falls flat with the optics of this one being the most unbelievable yet.

UH-OH: Republicans SURGING on Democrats
Midterm projections for the 2022 midterms are starting to look less promising for Democrats with only three weeks to go before Election Day. Early in the year, the polling suggested that Republicans were going to sweep the midterms, but then by summertime, Democrats began improving their chances and became strong favorites to win the Senate. Now, things have tightened up a little bit. In the House of Representatives, Democrats have only a 28% chance of holding the majority, according to FiveThirtyEight, which is down a few ticks from the peak of 32% in mid-September. The same trend has happened in the Senate, with Democrats now having a 62% chance of holding onto the upper chamber. But this is significantly down from when Dems had a 71% chance last month. In the homestretch before the election, one would hope Democrats would be improving their chances, but unfortunately, Republicans are catching up.
