Charlie Kirk funeral goes fascist as Trump threatens everyone

Eleven days after the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, a memorial was held in Arizona to honor his life. The event drew significant attention for its political overtones. Donald Trump spoke about tariffs, threatening violence in American cities, and denouncing “radical left maniacs” while framing his remarks in a godly context. Stephen Miller delivered a pointed critique of political opponents, portraying them as “evil” and “worthless.” Erika Kirk offered a moment of forgiveness, publicly stating that she forgave her husband’s shooter.

Following the memorial, Trump spoke to reporters on Air Force One. He deputized former Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate “everybody,” regardless of evidence, presenting it as a patriotic duty. Trump also previewed controversial claims linking Tylenol use during pregnancy to autism and made misleading statements about vaccines.

In California, Governor Gavin Newsom signed the “No Secret Police Act,” banning law enforcement from wearing masks that conceal identities, except for riot control or undercover work. The law responds to ICE agents conducting mass deportations while masked, which critics argue mirrors authoritarian tactics. Newsom framed it as an issue of accountability and state sovereignty, though it is expected to face federal legal challenges.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has sharply reduced her press briefings. Since August, her appearances have dwindled to just a few, with only one in three weeks of September.

In Trump’s interview with Fox’s Peter Doocy, he discussed TikTok, revealing that Rupert Murdoch and others may control its U.S. operations, raising concerns about algorithm manipulation. He also joked about firing late-night hosts, harming civilian fishermen, and made a personal comment about AOC, saying, “she’s got a little spunk.”

Trump’s top deportation official, Tom Homan, was caught on video allegedly accepting a $50,000 bribe. Despite clear evidence, the Trump administration halted the investigation, allowing Homan to remain in charge. This contradicts Trump’s “law and order” persona, exposing a pattern of shielding allies while labeling investigations into opponents as “deep state” operations.

Finally, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro joins us to address the rise of political violence following the attack on his residence and the killing of Charlie Kirk. He criticized Trump for using the Kirk tragedy to suppress dissenting views and called for constructive dialogue to address the underlying causes of violence.
