Matt Gaetz: Trump should be immune from prosecution
Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz has proposed a brain-dead plan to use congressional immunity to shield former President Donald Trump from prosecution. Gaetz argues that House Republicans could grant Trump immunity by bringing him before a committee and immunizing his testimony, a power Congress possesses to compel witnesses to answer questions even if they refuse under the Fifth Amendment. Gaetz claims this immunity would protect Trump from discussing any potential criminal conduct during his testimony. However, legal experts have raised concerns about the legality and appropriateness of such a move, as it goes beyond Congress's power and could be challenged by the Department of Justice. Gaetz's proposal underscores the lengths some Republicans are willing to go to defend Trump, highlighting the contradictions about Republicans supposedly being for law and order while saying Democrats are the ones weaponizing the government for political gain.
Chris Christie TORCHES Trump for possibly skipping debate
Former President Donald Trump has been attacking Chris Christie personally, targeting his appearance and his weight. Christie, in response, is taunting Trump, trying to goad him into participating in the upcoming Republican primary debate. He said during a recent campaign event, “He's got a lot to say when he's got a phone in his hand posting something on social media. We're going to know what he's really made of if we see whether he shows up two weeks from tonight or not on that stage. Because I'll tell you one thing for sure. I will be there and I am waiting for him and then we'll answer him. Because where I grew up and the way I was raised, was man who has something to say to another man, comes up to him and looks him in the eye and says it to him. And a coward does the opposite. So we'll see if the coward shows up two weeks from tonight in Milwaukee. But I will be there.” Trump's reluctance to debate might stem from his unease with Christie's confrontational approach, which could prove to be an issue for him since he has a lot to lose being so far ahead in the polls.

Fox News: Biden's Weather Channel interview PROVES corruption
During a recent Fox News segment, contributor Charlie Hurt criticized President Biden's appearance on the Weather Channel, tying it to a far-fetched theory. The context is Biden's announcement of a new national monument near the Grand Canyon to preserve tribal heritage and address climate concerns. However, Hurt suggested that Biden's appearance was a coded signal to his business associates implicated in the unsubstantiated Hunter Biden conspiracy. Hurt claimed that this act was meant to reinforce the narrative that Biden and his son only discussed the weather, a detail mentioned in recent testimony by a former business associate of Hunter Biden, Devin Archer. The contributor implied that every event is somehow connected to the Hunter Biden story, despite the lack of any concrete evidence. This focus on bogus conspiracy theories detracts from more substantial discussions about Biden's policies and the biggest issues facing America, such as climate change.
From yesterday’s show:
Lauren Boebert brags about infrastructure project she voted against
President Biden's recent speech focused on highlighting Republican hypocrisy on his historic Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Biden called out Congresswoman Lauren Boebert for opposing the bill that led to a wind power manufacturing plant in her district, which now her constituents are benefiting from it. He also mentioned Senator Tommy Tuberville's criticism of legislation that later brought substantial funding to his home state of Alabama. Biden's message underscored his commitment to benefiting all Americans, regardless of their geographic location and political affiliation, and he emphasized specific instances where Republicans opposed policies that are now proving successful. The speech aimed to counter broad claims of failure by showcasing achievements such as the American Rescue Plan, green energy investments, infrastructure enhancements, and economic recovery, illustrating the importance of government spending in certain areas and stimulating the economy.
