Leaked Trump Powerpoint Plan for Full-Blown Coup

We’re now learning about the existence of a powerpoint presentation that outlined the soft coup attempt in the immediate aftermath of the 2020 election. We knew there was a memo from a lawyer outlining mechanisms that could be attempted to try to steal the election from Joe Biden, but now it’s been revealed that there was a powerpoint with such suggestions as “declare a state of emergency.” The powerpoint is called “Election fraud, Foreign Interference & Options for 6 JAN” and it was turned over by Trump’s final Chief of Staff Mark Meadows. Some slides mentioned the possibility of having Vice President Mike Pence seat Republican electors over the objections of Democrats in states where the right alleged fraud occurred and coming up with reasons to throw out the ballots of legal electors who were pledged to Biden. In another slide called “Summary of Domestic Voter Fraud,” they listed all the bogus reasons to contest the electoral votes in certain states like Michigan and Pennsylvania saying things like “double voters, non citizen voters, fake ballots, etc.” There was a game plan for everything we saw play out involving the “big lie,” and if not for Mike Pence refusing to go along with it, there’s a chance it actually could have worked.

Trump Glitches Badly in Absurd Fox Interview

Donald Trump appeared on Fox News last week for an interview with anchor Laura Ingraham as part of his ongoing attempt to stay relevant in American politics. The pair opened by discussing the economy and focusing on the metrics that they perceive not to be doing so well. Trump said that when he left office, “gasoline was at $1.87 a gallon and now in California it’s over $7 — $7.77 to be exact.” The actual price of gas when Trump left office was $2.42 and the price nationally is now $3.49. It doesn’t make sense to compare gas prices nationally last year to what they are now in California, but even doing so, the price there is $4.60, not $7.77. At another point in the interview, Trump managed to meld a bunch of different right-wing talking points into one confusing statement saying about the debt ceiling and the Supreme Court: “Even worse than that, they’re going to use it for the so-called voting rights which is a disaster for our country and certainly it’s a disaster for the Republican Party.” Trump has been accelerating the number of media interviews he’s been doing lately as a way to stay involved in the 2022 midterms and so that he can potentially launch another campaign of his own.

Matt Gaetz Spoke to Trump About Making Him Speaker in 2022

Beleaguered Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz is trying to get Donald Trump to accept a role as House Speaker if Republicans win back the lower chamber in 2022. This idea has been floating around for a while now and it appears to be gaining some traction. Senior White House correspondent for Yahoo News Alexander Nazarian published a tweet about this last week saying, “Matt Gaetz just told me at a press conference that if Republicans win the House in 2022, he will move to install Trump as House Speaker.” While Trump is not actually running for a congressional seat in 2022, that is not necessary to become Speaker and the House majority can vote for whomever they wish to lead the body. If Trump takes the job he would be able to preside over an impeachment vote of Joe Biden for whatever bogus reason Republicans come up with. The only questions remaining are whether Republicans will actually take control in 2022, whether Trump wants the job, and whether GOP House members will actually vote him in.

Conspiracy Nuts Confused About Which JFK is Supposedly Alive

Right-wing conspiracy theories are truly getting out of hand now especially as they pertain to the group QAnon. Last month, hundreds of these believers met in Dallas, Texas at the site where John F. Kennedy was assassinated. They believed Kennedy’s son, JFK Jr., would emerge after being dead for 22 years in order to serve as Donald Trump’s running mate in the next election. A week ago, there was another (much smaller) QAnon rally in Dallas and some of the followers were chanting that John F. Kennedy Sr. was still alive. This promoted another to jump in and say “JFK Jr. too.” It appears as though the Q people are confused as to which JFK they think is still around and why he would be hiding from the public for all of this time. If Kennedy Sr. was still alive, he’d be 104 years old today which though possible, would be hard to believe. These people seem very confused, not only with reality but also getting on the same page with one another regarding their theories. Luckily, these viewpoints aren’t inspiring violence, only poor critical thinking, and let’s hope they stay that way.
