Trump Adviser Implodes, Won't Deny Accepting Foreign Help

A top Trump adviser went on TV yesterday and refused to deny that the Trump campaign was accepting or would accept foreign assistance and opposition research on Joe Biden. The adviser’s name is Jason Miller and he was interviewed on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace. Miller was asked three times if he could categorically and definitively say that the Trump campaign won’t accept foreign interference in the 2020 election. Miller tried to deflect and project but ultimately couldn’t bring himself to do it.

This is a major story that should be exposed, but it's also a completely obvious position of the campaign. Donald Trump has sought out or accepted help from Russia, Ukraine, China, and the list of countries could be even longer. Trump has told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos he would “take a look” at opposition research conducted by a foreign country. Jason Miller’s non-answers s here suggest that the Trump campaign is totally open to accepting foreign help and may have already done it this election cycle.

Trump DEATHLY AFRAID People Are Planning to Vote

Donald Trump is terrified about vote-by-mail because he knows it could cost him the election. A new Emerson College poll shows that while Trump edges out likely voters who plan to vote in person, 65% to 32%, Joe Biden crushes Trump, 76% to 20%, for those who plan to vote absentee. Trump knows that if absentee voting systems are expanded across the country, he will be at a disadvantage. The President wrongly states that vote-by-mail will create massive voter fraud, a claim for which he provides no evidence. In reality, vote-by-mail will just mean more people voting, which tends to help Democratic candidates.

Donald Trump is using every trick in the book to prevent ordinary people from voting. His fight-or-flight instincts are kicking in because he knows he is down by a sizable margin to Joe Biden, including key swing states. His proposal to delay the election was roundly rejected and now he’s left with scare tactics. At the end of the day, Joe Biden wants people to vote safely from home. Donald Trump wants people to leave their homes, wait in lines, and risk contracting coronavirus to fulfill their constitutionally-protected right to vote. A cornered Trump is a dangerous Trump and that is exactly what we’re seeing with his vote-by-mail lies.

Are "Secret" Trump Voters Real?

A viewer wrote in and asked about secret or shy Donald Trump voters, sometimes called “the silent majority.” Is this a real thing? The short answer is no. People cite the polls in 2016 to make this case, but the national popular vote polls were largely right in 2016. Hillary Clinton was projected to win the popular vote by around 3% and she won by around 2%. There also isn’t a persuasive case that these “shy” or “secret” types aren’t being accounted for. We can only wait until November to know for sure.
