Trump to hold Georgia press conference, lawyers BEG him to cancel
Donald Trump is set to hold a press conference in Georgia, aiming to reveal evidence of alleged election fraud and prove that the charges against him are phony. Despite his lawyers' adamance that he should remain silent, Trump still plans on holding the event. His counsel is warning him that any statements he makes could be used against him in ongoing legal battles. Trump's delusions of grandeur could get him in trouble, as he likely believes himself to be too intelligent to talk himself into even more trouble. His lawyers fear that his actions may hinder their ability to defend him and that his attempt to overturn the election could be reinforced if he presents the so-called evidence. Trump is faced with a choice between maintaining his best possible legal defense or appeasing his base and doing what he thinks will help him politically. Regardless of his ultimate decision, the situation demonstrates his impulsiveness and how he thinks he’s always the smartest person in the room.
Ron DeSantis' PATHETIC debate strategy leaked
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s debate strategy has been leaked and it’s about as pathetic as his collapsing campaign. The strategy, disclosed by a group linked to DeSantis, highlights four key objectives for the debate: The first is to attack Joe Biden and the media between 3 to 5 times. The second is to underscore his “positive vision” with a vague 2 to 3 mentions. The third is to counter the rising popularity of contender Vivek Ramaswamy by hitting him with a "fake Vivek" moniker. And the fourth is to defend Donald Trump from Chris Christie’s likely attacks, despite DeSantis and Trump not being on good terms. Notably, this strategy is lacking in substantive policy proposals, instead focusing on repetitive attacks and vague messaging, which may struggle to address voters’ genuine concerns or offer concrete solutions. If this debate advice is anything like the recommendations he’s getting for his broader campaign, it’s no wonder why DeSantis is down 40 points to Donald Trump.
From yesterday’s show:
Trump never paid lawyers who got indicted for him
Reports have emerged revealing that the lawyers indicted for their involvement with Donald Trump's election-related activities were never paid for their services. Despite raising a staggering $250 million off the election falsehoods, including from Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, and Sidney Powell, Trump reportedly didn't settle a single legal bill. Trump's former lawyer, Tim Parlatore, suggested that Trump had a handshake agreement with Giuliani to pay him $20,000 a day, an amount that is leaps and bounds beyond the legal industry's norms. While it’s easy to question the worth of the services provided by these crackpot lawyers, the failure to compensate them still doesn’t seem right. Giuliani's financial situation is reportedly dire, evidenced by his Manhattan property listing and outstanding debts. Meanwhile, Sidney Powell had established a nonprofit entity that raised $16 million to aid in lawsuits. In the end, the lack of payment, coupled with legal issues, leaves these lawyers in an unfortunate and complex predicament especially as they now face their own criminal charges.

Indicted Trump lawyer begs for donations after Trump cuts her off
Jenna Ellis, a former lawyer for Donald Trump, has reportedly been left out of the former president's legal defense fund, a move that some speculate is due to her support for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Ellis, who was indicted alongside other associates for their roles in Trump's election activities, tweeted her response to the charges, expressing her resolve and trust in God, while also setting up a fundraising campaign on GiveSendGo. Ellis’s current fundraising total stands at just over $10,000, which, given the nature of her charges, likely won’t cover the costs of adequate legal representation. While Ellis may be able to tap into her legal connections to secure reduced fees or pro-bono assistance, reports suggest that Trump's decision to exclude her from his legal defense fund could inadvertently incentivize her to cooperate with prosecutors in exchange for leniency. With many indicted co-conspirators potentially facing financial strain due to legal representation costs, they may be more inclined to cooperate and provide evidence against Trump to alleviate their legal and financial pressures, potentially creating more even legal challenges for the failed former president.
