Did it though? Trump did something stupid and illegal, just like every other week. His policy failed, but he claims it succeeded, just like every other week. The other branches and the media acted like cowards, just like every other week. The rest of the world did not nothing to stop America from being evil and stupid, just like every other week.

As far as I can see, all that bombing raid did was help Khomeni tighten. the screws on the country. Nothing solidifies resolve like attacking the people you want to change.

Our Orange Leader will never Make Accountability Great Again. And there's the rub. tRump is accountable to no one because the very people who said they would uphold the Constitution, have abdicated.

He's gonna nuke someone yet, David. His ego is both growing AND being crushed, simultaneously. Very dangerous.

His growing ego provides the momentum to continue doing whatever he wants, while the ego bruising from realizing that he's screwed up everything thus far, won't allow him to slow down either - his need to win and be the "best" at everything, is too important. We all know this about him. And it's not like anyone in the Rump AdMAGAstration stands in his way.

As for us Canadians, his ending trade talks with Canada, tells me that Mark Carney's many deals being made elsewhere with other countries, EU, Australia, etc., makes Donnie Rump wanna cry. As we all know, he hates losing. He cannot lose. He'll create an opportunity, and he WILL invade Canada at some point. He'll wait until the US has full sustainability regarding military resources, in terms of materials needed for weapon building, for hardware, etc., before any invasions take place. But once he's eliminated reliance on any other country, the only reliance he'll allow, is one where every other country on Earth relies on him and the US only, and we all bow and kiss his bone spurs. Then when the US has secured the resources needed to stand alone, what stops him from invading anyone at all, for the most ridiculous of reasons? They'd be of no real use to him anyway. Take them over, lay claims to all their resources, then replenish the weapons and invade the next. He doesn't give a shit what all of us peasants (which is EVERYBODY) beneath him feel towards what he does/says. If he did, we wouldn't be here discussing it. He wants to be a darker version of Putin.

Setting aside the fact that once he realizes that he could add another big "first" to his list of things to win at, I have no doubt that it will cause an itch in his brain that can't be scratched until he has an opportunity. An opportunity to finally launch a nuke, and go down in history as the first. If there's is no opportunity, he will once again create one. Similar to the Canada thing. I don't believe Canada has to worry about being nuked though, due to proximity, among other things, but someone out there will be hit with one at some point

His recent tantrum followed by killing the trade talks with Canada, is the first step in creating the bullshit opportunity to overtake, followed by a second step, and another and another. It's always been the plan. Ultimately, he'll have no choice but to annex and lay claims to Canada. By then he'll have convinced maga supporters that it had to be done, just like the Iran bombing.

At the end of the day, also consider the fact that he has very little to lose at this point. The fact that he's as old AF and he knows it. The fact that he'll need to avoid going to prison after he leaves office, however that should be taken care of by the gutting and restructuring of the departments that would be responsible for going after him. Changing the constitution to allow or disallow anything that might get in his way, will help a lot as well.

And finally, let's not forget that when his term is over an he'd everything is left in shambles, he'll have enough money, and a circle of followers with enough of their own money, that none of his actions, nor the resulting consequences would have much effect on him or the elites, anyhow. Screw the treaty of the world.

I truly cannot wait until he's in the ground, regardless of how he gets there, and I know I'm not alone on that one.

Why can’t someone charge trump with a crime? And why are your courts all kangaroo courts? Where the judges rule by political beliefs instead of the law? Where the hell do you get these judges anyhow? They should be elected, not posted by politicians.

If I could tell you I would. Also, not all of them are kangaroo courts. Just the ones who have anything to do with Trump. Justice DOES still exist here. It's just that we're dealing with an entrenched oligarchy.

Yes, trump has done a number on your country. I’m Canadian and when I was younger I drove through 25 states and had a ball. Now I’m afraid to go near your border for fear of being shipped off to heaven knows where (not to mention having my phone confiscated). A shame because I live just 60 miles from Michigan.

A number, yes. Defeated us, no. There are a lot of us at war with our government. I have a feeling his time is coming. Keep an eye on us post midterm elections. If the House and Senate doesn't flip, I start getting REALLY concerned. I'm only VERY concerned right now.

Joe, would you please tell me what will happen if trump does horribly in the midterm elections (I am Canadian). I know that the polls show him right now as the lowest president ever to hold office. Can he be removed from office then? Thanks.

If the Democrats do well in the Senate and House it would effectively make him a lame duck president because the Democrats would block the most dangerous of his crap. If they take both the Senate and House by any clear majority then it's a bygone conclusion that he's going to be impeached and convicted. The only reason it didn't happen last time was because there was a split Congress and the Republican Senate blocked his conviction. This situation is exactly why we have 3 coequal branches of government though. He stacked the Supreme Court, and is the Executive, but Congress DOES have the power to reign him in. That's why the midterms in 2026 are really a line in the sand for us. Are we going to let 30% of our population drag us into the dust pile of history, just another democracy that fell to corruption, or are the rest of us going to stand up and do the right thing. I have faith that there are enough of us to do it.

All this talk about your wonderful democratic society of checks and balances is a complete falacy. If a President can instruct the arm to attack without congress approval, where are these checks and balances. Just by placing a few key idiots in government has destroyed your democracy. How robust is that? Trump has continually ignored the courts and the Supreme court because they are ineffective and have no real means of enforcing their decisions. And Americans think that they are the 'best democracy in the world?' Smell the coffee!

Airstrikes crippled Iran’s ability to weaponize uranium. That's a good thing. America has directly or indirectly contributed to Iran's success as a regime. (Look at how Obama legitimized Iran's uranium enrichment endeavors.) Trump may have bombed Iran for the wrong reasons. But for me, tolerating Iran's program to build the Bomb: Enough is enough.

Thank you, my thoughts exactly. I will never understand how Obama did a "deal" with Iran, that allowed them to build intercontinental missiles to deliver the nukes they said they would not build. The deal was so bad that it was not crafted as a treaty that would have required Senate ratification. You aptly pointed out that enriching uranium is not for peaceful purposes. Are you and I the only ones who can see that? We have become so blind in pursuing peace (at any price) we forget the rest of world does not think like us. Death to America is not an Iranian country and western song. It is their main purpose to see it happen and USA needs to take it seriously.

Well said. No, we are not the only ones who think like we do.

I haven't listened to the whole interview, but here is what an Iranian woman thinks. On YouTube, "The Real Reason Iran Wants to Destroy Israel - Elica Le Bon." As you point out, the slogan "Death to America" is not some idle slogan. You can frequently hear "From the river to the sea" along with "Death to America" chanted at the same events. Ultimately, both the destruction of Israel and America are the goals of the Iranian regime.

Agree with everything you say but where are the Democrats in their observations and condemnations in all of this. You never make mention of their reticence to publicly condemn, oppose or make their voice heard in just about everything this vile man and his administration does. What are they afraid of?

I am a horrified republican. Where are the rest of us.

I have heard David addressed the fact that Democrats are a do nothing party and they’re probably fading out because the younger generation doesn’t want the old school that was proven in the recent New York run for mayor and my favorite politician Andrew Como was beaten by socialist young man who went about campaigning in a very new modern way and that seems to be the trend

Leslie - I appreciate and am thankful for your response. As a UK observer it is often difficult to gauge precisely how opinions may truly be voiced and felt. If the Democrats are really that pathetic sounds like it’s time for a new political force to come into being. Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire however much it goes against the grain.

Andrew Como even running is symptomatic of why Democrats do not get the message. He was tossed out for good reason as governor and here he is the comeback kid looking to get back in the game. Move on Democrats, tell the dinosaurs to retire and bring on the A team.
