Trump Horrifies World, Makes Sick Announcement at Cult Rally
Donald Trump held his final rally ahead of the 2022 midterm races in Ohio, and he teased a presidential run in the most obvious way yet. Going into the speech, some were anticipating that Trump would make his 2024 presidential candidacy official. Instead, he put it off by another week, saying “I’m going to be making a very big announcement on Tuesday, November 15th at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.” Trump mostly just played his “greatest hits” during the rally, but he also made the claim that the United States would be better off if he still had the nuclear codes. He said, “maybe our country would be better off if I actually had the nuclear codes, JD, because our enemies would be afraid, unlike the way they are now.” The former president is admitting to being so unstable that he might nuke people if he doesn’t get his way. While yesterday’s speech marked the end of the midterm rallies for Trump, it seems that two years of 2024 rallies could be right around the corner.
Republicans ALREADY Suing to Throw Out Mail-In Ballots
Before the votes have even been tallied, Republicans are suing to throw out mail-in ballots from the 2022 midterms. In Pennsylvania, the state Supreme Court has ruled that election officials should not count votes that didn’t have the outer envelope dated, even if the ballots arrived before Election Day. In Detroit, Michigan, there’s a case attempting to throw out absentee ballots not cast in person alongside an ID. In Wisconsin, Republicans won a ruling that will prevent some ballots from being counted when the required witness address is incomplete. These changes may sound small, but they could be enough to swing a close race. Also, if the right was willing to go this far to affect elections they don’t yet know the result of, there’s no telling what they will try to do in the races they don’t end up winning. These are the latest examples of the authoritarian slide the right wing is perpetrating against the United States.
From yesterday’s show:
Josh Shapiro Delivers Obama-Level Viral Speech
Pennsylvania gubernatorial candidate Josh Shapiro gave an Obama-esque speech over the weekend in the final stretch before the 2022 midterms. The address went viral, and deservingly so, as Shapiro made some excellent points about how Democrats, not Republicans, are the pro-freedom party. He said, “it's not freedom to tell women what they're allowed to do with their bodies. That's not freedom. It's not freedom to tell our children what books they're allowed to read. It's not freedom when he gets to decide who you're allowed to marry. I say love is love. It's not freedom to say you can work a 40-hour workweek, but you can't be a member of a union. That's not freedom. And it sure as hell isn't freedom to say you can go vote, but he gets to pick the winner. That's not freedom.” This speech by Shapiro served as an excellent closing argument in a race where he has a commanding 8-point lead over Republican nominee Doug Mastriano.
From yesterday’s show:
Herschel Walker COMPLETELY INCOHERENT in Fox Interview
Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker went on Maria Bartiromo’s Fox News show and was as incoherent as ever. Walker started off by complaining about Joe Biden bringing pronouns to the military. He said, “right now, he's called our men and women in blue ‘thugs and bullies.’ They bringing in pronouns into our military. But yet they're saying that it's the Republicans’ fault.” This might be breaking news to Herschel, but the military has always used pronouns, and they’ve used adjectives, verbs, and even prepositional phrases as well. In another moment during the interview, Walker said the real “security threat” to the US is that Senator Raphael Warnock will vote against the Keystone XL pipeline. Herschel sounds like he’s just repeating what he hears other Republicans say, but he often fails to make his claims coherent and will mush multiple talking points into one.
