It’s almost funny watching Trump world scream “hoax” while half the GOP suddenly remembers they have a conscience and the other half remembers they have lawyers. You know it’s bad when Republicans start defecting before the Democrats even finish reading the emails. And the best part is how predictable the panic is. They’re yelling about shutdowns, inflation, and “statistical systems” like toddlers throwing toys to distract from the fire behind them. Meanwhile the Epstein files keep dripping out like a broken faucet you can’t shut off. For a guy who loves “transparency,” Trump sure spends a lot of time begging people not to look at anything.

I don’t think we should freak out that Epstein said Trump was the worst person he met of all time. Remember: We all say things about loved ones we later regret

I’m sure they made up eventually

I’m not freaking out that Epstein said that. We know that’s true.

I am freaking out that the republicans have been engaged in protecting the pedophiles rather than serving their constituents. That really pisses me off!

Pretty crazy that the hardest thing they’ve fought for in the last year is to stop the Epstein files

Agree, seriously what do they get out of Trump petting them on the head for being good boys and girls. Trump has reduced the House and Senate to children afraid they will get a public scolding.

Really, since Trump, the entire administration act like 9 year old children. Calling each other names! Insulting each other! It’s so awful!

Several days ago I posted I "Memo to Republicans: Remember the Sacklers" about how putting the Trump name on the Kennedy Center (or a football stadium) will backfire the way the Sackler name (the people behind oxycontin) has been removed from museums around the world. I suspect that after today we're going to hear fewer Republicans calling for the desecration of national treasures by pasting the Trump name over their doors. Here's the post:

The timing of over 100 House Republicans breaking ranks is remarkble. When even loyalists start worrying about the legal implcations of these documents, you know the content must be deeply problematic. Leavitt's claim about being the most transparent administration while simultaneously trying to presure Boebert not to sign the petition is a masterclass in contradiction.

The person I wonder the most about is Bimbo Leavitt. I realize she has a tough job, but she seems to enjoy covering for "daddy" a lot more than you would expect. Wonder what her real parents think of her having to invent excuses each day.

It is my understanding that Bongino and Patel were all about exposing the Epstein files when they were podcasters. So were they only interested if just Democrats were in the files? Are they now so deep in the regime they can't back out? (sorry do get there is a double entendre in that previous sentence). One would think that if they had an ounce of integrity or a soul, they'd want the files out or even stand against tRump

Seeing 100+ House Republicans break ranks to release these documants shows how serious this is. When even your own party can't defend what's in those files, it says evrything. The White House scrambling with emergancy meetings tells you they know how damaging this could be. Transparency matters, even when it's uncomfortable for those in power.
