A rare bipartisan moment unfolded as Reps. Thomas Massie, Ro Khanna, and a now-estranged Marjorie Taylor Greene joined Epstein survivors to push the Epstein Files Transparency Act. The bill would force the DOJ to release unredacted records, and Greene’s break with Trump added drama as she accused him of calling her a traitor despite years of loyalty. Survivors delivered emotional pleas, demanding transparency and accountability after years of obstruction.
Trump’s sudden calls for “full transparency” appear more strategic than sincere. Reporting suggests the FBI already redacted his name from key documents citing a privacy exemption from 2006, while hidden-camera DOJ comments indicated Republicans would be protected. Trump may have positioned himself to call for transparency publicly while securing protections for himself behind the scenes.
Cornered in the Oval Office, Trump looked unstable. His voice was strained and rasping, and he repeatedly covered a bruised hand as reporters pressed questions. He admitted to having “blown his stack” over trade and threatened Seattle’s World Cup event while refusing to rule out U.S. troops in Venezuela.
At the McDonald’s Impact Summit, Trump delivered one of his most incoherent speeches. He rambled about false inflation claims, gas prices, dishwashers, water, and the size of his hands. The audience sat in awkward silence as his strained voice and disjointed thoughts revealed a cornered, distracted leader.
Marjorie Taylor Greene now faces death threats from Trump’s own base after he labeled her a traitor. Police confirmed threatening emails, showing how authoritarian movements punish disloyalty. Greene, who previously promoted extremism, is now experiencing the same dangerous climate she helped create.
Trump also provoked another misogyny scandal by calling a female Bloomberg reporter “piggy” on Air Force One while she asked about the Epstein files. The slur echoes past attacks like those against Alicia Machado, showing a pattern of demeaning, gendered behavior meant to shut down scrutiny.
Trump’s economic team continues to manipulate reality. Republicans claim tariffs never caused problems while bragging that lifting them will lower prices. Kevin Hassett deflected by calling labor market weakness a “quiet time” and touting supposed gains in purchasing power, even though real wages for most Americans remain stagnant.
Finally, Laura Field, a writer and political theorist who is an expert on American far-right populist intellectualism, joins us to discuss her new book, “Furious Minds: The Making of the MAGA New Right.”

Why go through all this nonsense about releasing the files if Trump’s name is going to be redacted when we all know he is guilty. I feel very sorry for all the victims but releasing the files is all a farce if the truth about Trump is not there. Does he think we are all stupid!
Reading and listening to the Republicans now is pathetic. cter siting with Trump all the way all of a sudden they do a U-turn by saying I was all for releasing the file right from the beginning. The truth is they were not thinking
