First thing Trump did to the military was fire the top brass and all the lawyers. Then all the Inspectors General at civil service. So again, what is the purpose of 3 branches when they collude and become subordinate to one jerk.

I really think calling that statement appalling is a stretch. He talked about MacArthur and his son (obviously a “pair” of medal recipients) and then suggested he and his two sons could have a “threesome”, QUITE OBVIOUSLY referencing the prior statement about two people and then adding another. It is patently obvious that he is not referencing anything sexual. I am absolutely opposed to Trump’s policies and I think he is by far the worst president the country has ever had. But come on - this is one incidence where he is clearly “being funny” - though I do think he may seriously consider awarding the Medal of Honor because it’s just the sort of appalling thing he does since he considers himself a king. But I do not think this was an evidence of his dementia, i think this was actually truly a moment of Trump being Trump.
