Trump never thought this day would come
Every movement built around a single man eventually collapses. Trump is following the same path—just slower, and with more merch.
Before we get into it: if you’re receiving this via email, thank you. You’re already subscribed. If you’re not, now is the time.
It’s starting to feel inevitable now. The Trump bubble; that strange combination of political fervor, celebrity worship, and grievance economics is finally cracking in real time. The question isn’t if it bursts anymore, it’s when and what the fallout looks like when it does.
Every movement built around a single man eventually collapses. Sometimes the collapse happens when the cult leader dies; sometimes it happens when the myth of invincibility gives way to fatigue. Either way, history tells the same story: the center cannot hold forever.
The Slow Deflation
Trump’s approval ratings are sliding; not catastrophically, but persistently. Think of it like a slow leak in a tire: you won’t hear a pop, but you can feel the drag. Even in deep-red states and among Republicans, there’s measurable slippage.
True believers dismiss the numbers as “fake polls,” but if everything were fine, Republican politicians wouldn’t be hedging the way they are. The loudest voices online aren’t always the biggest voting blocs, and even the MAGA faithful are starting to look tired and worn down.
MAGA fundraising is down. The once-reliable donors who dug deep in 2016 and 2020 have either run out of patience or disposable income, or both. The promises that once animated the movement like economic revival, drained swamps, and winning “so much you’ll get tired of winning” have all failed to materialize.
And when the strongman starts to weaken, the knives come out. That’s another universal truth. Figures like Thomas Massie and Marjorie Taylor Greene have begun picking fights with each other; some governors and senators who once stood firmly behind Trump are now “looking inward.” The fear that kept them in line is giving way to political self-preservation.
Signs of a Collapse
The unraveling won’t come all at once. It’s already happening in small, almost imperceptible ways:
First, a local Republican quietly drops Trump’s name from campaign materials.
Then, a Fox News host covers him a little less enthusiastically.
Eventually, a megadonor diverts funding to someone “new” and “fresh.”
Each of these is a hairline crack. Then one day, those who were “all in” realize they’re surrounded by fewer and fewer allies.
It’s not that every supporter will walk away. Every cult has its diehards who go down with the ship. But the transactional Republicans & the ones who backed Trump because he won, or because he irritated liberals are already eyeing the exit.
Losing accelerates that process. Trump has built his identity on winning. When the wins stop, the spell breaks. The myth of the perpetual winner doesn’t survive repeated losses.
A Movement Past Its Peak
There’s also a generational shift. Younger conservatives who want a political future can read the actuarial tables. Trump will be nearly 80 in the next election cycle, and the base that worships him skews even older. The next generation of Republican operatives and donors know that clinging to him means signing up for decline, and potentially a quick one.
So what does the end look like? Probably not a dramatic implosion, but more like a quiet deflation. One day, “Trumpism” will still exist as a brand, but Donald Trump himself will be treated like an embarrassing uncle at the family reunion. The same media outlets that built him up will pivot seamlessly to the next strongman or populist avatar.
The revisionism will be wild. The same Fox News personalities who once praised him as a political genius will claim they were “always skeptical.” The distance from “the most important political figure in America” to “Trump who?” may be shorter than anyone expects.
For now, the pressure is building. The base is exhausted, the donors are restless, and the Republican establishment smells blood in the water. The Trump bubble is leaking slowly, for now, and then all at once.

Every damned day, I see and hear this guy and feel disturbed, repulsed, and just embarrassed as hell that he represents us globally. This is truly exhausting
But the damage is being done!!! Politics (as horrible as they are).. are never going to be the same… it’s going to be so much worse! He’s proving just do what you want and worry about the fallout later! Too many kissing his ass when deep down they HAVE to know this admin is wrong on so many levels!! You cannot LOVE this country and what it was built on… and LITERALLY just bulldoze your way through it. You don’t LOVE the country and try to take it over as your own. You don’t LOVE the country when you allow masked agents to just brutally go after people they THINK shouldn’t be in this country. You don’t LOVE the country when you turn the national guard and military on its own citizens. You don’t LOVE the country when you keep the govt closed knowing how horrific the fallout will be for so many families because you REFUSE to negotiate. You don’t LOVE the country when you test the waters of ignoring the Constitution. You don’t LOVE the country when you bulldoze historic buildings to build a gaudy tacky entirely too large ballroom. You don’t LOVE the country when you grift and get richer and richer while citizens are being screwed in so many different ways.
I have ZERO IDEA what people see in this 🤡…. But I hope history tells the true story of the MONSTERS ruining our democracy. There is ZERO doubt he will allow midterms to happen… he knows he’s fucked if he does….:so what he’s doing now is testing the waters of how it’s going to go the closer we get to voting! He is the most vile… despicable… amoral…corrupt…FELON AND SEXUAL PREDATOR to walk this earth. RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES!
