Republican Says Hitler Made Something of Himself After Being Homeless
In a really strange speech by Tennessee State Senator Frank Niceley, the Republican lawmaker said that being homeless isn’t so bad as evidenced by Adolf Hitler being able to use his time being homeless to hone in on his people skills. Niceley said, “for two years, Hitler lived on the streets and practiced his oratory and his body language and how to connect with [unintelligible] and then went on to live a life that got him in the history books.” Niceley wanted people currently experiencing homelessness to take Hitler’s experience as inspiration to “live a productive life.” He also used the example to argue the state government shouldn’t do anything to assist the unhoused. Of course, the Tennessee state senator wasn’t directly commending the atrocities Hitler committed but he probably would have been better served to pick an example that didn’t involve one of history’s most evil figures to make the case for his policy agenda.
Trump Raking in MILLIONS with Fascist Fundraising Emails
Donald Trump and Republicans are raking in millions of dollars scamming their supporters with fundraising emails for the 2022 midterms. Trump was able to generate $378 million from these email blasts in 2022 and $110 million remains in the former president’s coffers for future campaigns. The emails are particularly aggressive and conspiratorial. As TruthOut reports, “if you are a supporter subscribed to Trump’s coveted email list, you are told that ‘sinister forces’ are destroying a nation that rightfully belongs to ‘loyal patriots like you.’” The emails invoke specific QAnon talking points and fascist rhetoric to give the reader a sense of urgency to donate to his super PACs. While this type of messaging largely wouldn’t work on Joe Biden supporters and folks who are generally left of center, the emails are getting right wingers to donate handsomely to the ex-president’s war chest.

Trump Lays Groundwork for 2024 Health Excuse
Donald Trump is expected by many to be running for president again in the 2024 election cycle, however, it seems like he’s developing an excuse to possibly avoid launching such a campaign. Trump has increasingly been talking about health being a major factor in whether he’ll run, particularly since he’s not going to be a young guy at age 78. In an interview with the Washington Post recently, Trump even said, “you always have to talk about health. You look like you’re in good health, but tomorrow, you get a letter from a doctor saying come see me again. That’s not good when they use the word again.” Ultimately, Trump won’t run if he doesn’t get the sense that he can win the presidency and certainly if he doesn’t think he can beat Ron DeSantis in a Republican primary. This health reason may be the exact excuse he needs to bail last minute if he decides not to go through with what would be his third presidential run.

Trump Chief-of-Staff REMOVED from Voter Rolls, Under Voter Fraud Probe
Mark Meadows, Donald Trump’s fourth and final Chief of Staff, has been removed from the voter rolls in North Carolina as the investigation into his alleged voting fraud continues. The probe alleges that Meadows registered to vote in the Tar Heel state in September of 2020 using an address he never actually lived in. Documentation at the time showed he was living in Virginia and he last voted in the 2021 election there. While it’s not a problem to be simultaneously registered in two states, it is a problem if a person attempts to vote in both and if they’re registered to an address where they don’t actually live. Donald Trump and his allies made such an issue out of voter fraud following the 2020 election and it turns out that Trump’s very own Chief of Staff is under investigation for possibly committing this exact crime.
