Could FBI Raid Actually Help Trump & Republicans?
Donald Trump’s poll numbers among Republicans have improved ever since the FBI search of his home at Mar-a-Lago. Ron DeSantis had been catching up to Trump in hypothetical 2024 matchups and according to some polls, the Florida governor even pulled out ahead of the former president. But now, Republicans feel aggrieved over the search of Trump’s property. And that’s causing some concern among the left that it could wipe out the ground Democrats were picking up in 2022 midterm races following the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe vs. Wade. There are signs, however, that the boost for Trump could be short-lived. As more details come out having to do with what Trump is accused of, and possibly even criminal charges coming his way, more reasonable right-wingers may see the legitimacy of the investigation and decide the ex-president is too much of a liability to keep as the figurehead of the Republican Party.
Michael Cohen Predicts “So Much Flipping” From Trump Allies to Avoid Prison
Michael Cohen, Donald Trump’s former personal attorney, suggested during a recent interview that there’s going to be a lot of flipping by Trump’s allies so people who are implicated in the investigations into him will be able to avoid prison time. One such example could be Allen Weisselberg, the former Trump Organization Chief Financial Officer (CFO), who agreed to cooperate with New York investigators in exchange for a short jail sentence. In addition to the New York probe, Trump also has the Georgia investigation, January 6th liability, and the classified documents scandal to worry about. All of these potentially criminal actions likely had accomplices, many of whom will be quick to spill the beans on Trump if it means they don’t have to be locked up behind bars. Michael Cohen knows about the possibility of people flipping firsthand, since he did it himself when continuing to defend Trump became untenable.

Trump Thinks Dr. Oz Will "F–king Lose," Regrets Supporting Him
Pennsylvania Senate candidate Mehmet Oz is down by as many as 11% in the polls to John Fetterman and now Donald Trump and Fox News are starting to abandon him. Trump has told his advisors Oz is “going to f**king lose” and wonders if the polls might be “phony” or “rigged.” The former president reportedly can’t figure out why someone who has been popular on television for so long can’t seem to be winning in the race. Trump also has a low opinion of Fetterman, thinking he is in poor health and hiding too often in the basement. To make matters worse for Oz, he’s even being scrutinized on Fox News. Fox ran a segment recently about the doctor's gaffes, including the infamous crudité video and the confusion about how many houses he owns. The right-wing network seemed to suggest that Fetterman was getting the best of the social media exchanges and showed polling that proves he’s a lot more likable to voters than Oz. Hopefully, this is the beginning of the end for the Oz campaign, but there are still a couple of months to go.

Finland's PM Slammed for Partying & Having a Good Time
Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin is facing scrutiny over videos of her dancing and having a good time at house parties and nightclubs. At age 36, Marin is one of the youngest world leaders, opening her up to attacks about being unfit for office and unprepared to respond to a crisis. The clips have led to calls for the PM to get drug tested, which she complied with, and the results of which should be coming out soon. But really, there was no need for such a test to be taken, as nothing in the videos looked out of the ordinary. Marin has insisted she did nothing illegal and that she’s never taken drugs, even in her teenage years. When Donald Trump danced to the song “YMCA,” many people criticized his dancing abilities, but no one thought it was a justification for him to take a drug test or to call him unfit for office. But because Marin is a young woman, her dancing and having fun are being treated like a political scandal.
