Tux-wearing Trump tells "sir" stories, major cognitive gaffes
In a recent address at the New York Young Republicans Gala, former President Trump delved into a range of topics, notably emphasizing concerns about the relocation of companies from the U.S., with Exxon Mobil's move from New York to Texas serving as a focal example. Trump spoke about generals commending his response to sexual harassment allegations and his admission of briefly desiring dictatorship for a day, sparking considerable scrutiny, and raising apprehensions about the consequences of his winning, including media suppression and the use of the military to handle protests. Despite the speech concluding on a somewhat lighthearted note with Trump's humorous comments on Ron DeSantis, making fun of his shoe lifts and bobblehead expressions, an undercurrent of ongoing concerns persists regarding Trump's dictatorial inclinations and cognitive abilities.
Vivek Ramaswamy caught urinating live during Elon Musk Alex Jones event
In a truly bizarre Twitter Spaces event, Vivek Ramaswamy became embroiled in a major controversy known as "Piss Gate," featuring the likes of Alex Jones, Elon Musk, and Andrew Tate. Amidst serious discussions, Vivek had an unexpected hot mic moment, with his phone audio recording him urinating while the rest of the participants were unable to mute him. Elon Musk's pro-human sentiments juxtaposed with Vivek's restroom activities added an absurd layer to the conversation. The incident was similar to a classic scene from The Naked Gun series, where a character unwittingly leaves their mic on during a public speech. This surreal blend of serious discourse and unexpected comedic elements turned the online event into a wild and unforgettable spectacle, leaving people both bewildered and amused.
From over the weekend:
Nikki Haley about to pass DeSantis, Trump STILL CRUSHING everyone
The Republican primary for the presidential nomination is witnessing an intriguing shift, with attention turning towards Nikki Haley as a potential challenger to Donald Trump. While Trump maintains a dominant position in national polls, Haley's numbers are gaining momentum, closing the gap with Ron DeSantis, who was once seen as a formidable contender. In national polling, Trump leads with over 61%, DeSantis follows at 13%, and Haley is now within three points of DeSantis at 10%. Notably, in Iowa, Haley has surged to tie with DeSantis at 14%, a significant change from a previous 31-5 lead in DeSantis' favor. New Hampshire sees Haley in a strong second place at 19%, outperforming DeSantis, and in South Carolina, her home state, Haley holds a substantial lead with 19% compared to DeSantis' 10%. While Trump remains the likely nominee, the numbers indicate a segment of the Republican Party considering alternatives, emphasizing Haley's potential as a successor in the event of unforeseen circumstances affecting Trump or DeSantis.
From over the weekend:
Hundreds of troops suspected of advocating overthrow of US Government
A troubling Pentagon report reveals that around 200 military personnel, significantly more than initially reported, are suspected of advocating for the overthrow of the U.S. government, with 78 service members overtly promoting such ideas and 44 linked to terrorism in the past year. The Military.com article detailing this extremism report exposes 183 allegations within the military, encompassing discrimination and advocating violence for political objectives. Notably, the Space Force, established under President Donald Trump, reported four cases of alleged extremism. This story underscores the hypocrisy among certain right-wing military members who, despite swearing to defend the Constitution, engage in activities that threaten the very government they pledge to protect. It raises broader concerns about a potential ideological issue within the military and the self-selection bias in the all-volunteer system, where motivations for enlistment may not align with the positive objectives of national defense.
