Nancy Pelosi is Stepping Down
Nancy Pelosi has announced that she will be stepping down as the leader of the Democrats once the Republicans take control of the lower chamber at the start of next year. Pelosi has been the leader of the House Democrats for nearly twenty years, at some points as Speaker of the House and other times as House Minority Leader. She is now saying, “for me, the hour has come for a new generation to lead the Democratic caucus that I so deeply respect.” Pelosi will continue to represent San Francisco in the House of Representatives and will serve out her upcoming two-year term. The news comes just weeks after the brutal attack against her husband Paul at their California home and one week after the 2022 midterms that resulted in Republicans winning a narrow House Majority. Now the race begins to see who will become the new leader of the House Democratic caucus.
SICK: Fox News Now Targeting John Fetterman's Wife
Fox News is now targeting Senator-elect John Ferrerman’s wife Gisele. During one segment on Harris Faulkner’s show, Fox personalities criticized Gisele for being the central focus of an image of her and her husband at John’s new office at the Capitol. One Fox guest said, “maybe [John’s] going to step down and the new Democrat governor-elect is going to end up appointing her when her husband can’t do the job.” The reason why John was only partially in the picture was intentional, and part of an ongoing gag they have about him being so large that he can’t fit into pictures. It’s completely innocuous, and ought to be treated as such, rather than as evidence that soon he will have to step down and Gisele will need to take over. This is completely typical of Fox News to try to manufacture a story where one simply doesn’t exist.
From yesterday’s show:
Republicans Win House, Will Be Hunter Biden 24/7
Republicans have officially won the House of Representatives after securing the 218 seats they need to take control of the lower chamber. What many were expecting going into last week’s midterms to be a red wave turned out to be only a red ripple, with the GOP unable to take the Senate and only winning a narrow majority in the House. Republican leadership has wasted no time explaining exactly what they want to do once they take power. Of course, they’re not interested in passing legislation to make the lives of the American people better. Instead, they’re promising investigations into Hunter Biden, the son of the president who has played zero role in his administration. There is also talk about potentially impeaching Joe Biden, even though they don’t know what for and probably couldn’t secure the votes necessary to make it happen.
From yesterday’s show:
Ivanka Refuses to Be Involved with Trump's 2024 Run
Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka has announced that she is not going to be a part of her father’s third run for the presidency. Ivanka was absent from her father’s presidential announcement speech at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday. She also put out an Instagram message which read in part, “I love my father very much. This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating together as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics.” Ivanka is likely sick of the campaign trail and the endless scandals her father has been involved in over the years. There’s no doubt that his antics have tarnished her reputation in social circles. Ivanka’s husband Jared Kushner was at the announcement speech on Tuesday and it’s so far unclear what role he would have in the third Trump campaign and a potential second Trump administration. At the very least, Ivanka is making the right decision and it’s too bad she was unable to convince her dad not to run again.

The Rules of Succession show that it is the President, Vice-President then Speaker of the House. If Biden then Harris are incapacitated then the new House leader who is a Republican will become President. How farcical.
