Palestinians appear to bomb their own hospital, Israel blamed
The recent bombing of a hospital in Gaza is a matter of grave concern, and there remains a fog of uncertainty surrounding who is at fault, but there is now more and more evidence pointing in the direction of the blast being a result of an errant rocket launched by Hamas. Initial reports on the incident, including the number of casualties and the exact location of the bombing, have been subject to frequent updates and revisions. Many believed Israel to be the perpetrator when the attack was first reported on, but now there’s mounting evidence suggesting it was done by Hamas. A central call for resolving this ambiguity is the engagement of an independent group of experts to meticulously examine the evidence and determine the origin of the rocket, potentially shedding light on the responsible party. People are sharing all sorts of claims and opinions on social media about this, making it imperative to exercise caution by waiting and relying on verified information rather than rushing to judgment and depending on unverified claims.
Trump EXPLODES, wildly attacks judge at courthouse
Failed former President Donald Trump publicly vented his frustration outside a New York City courtroom, directing his ire towards Judge Arthur Engoron and vehemently asserting that his ongoing civil fraud trial is rigged. Trump said, “We have no rights whatsoever. Any company coming to New York would be crazy because it's a setup. It’s a rigged trial. We have a hostile group of people. We have a very hostile judge. And I hate to say it, we have a very, very hostile judge.” Despite his billionaire status and tenure as president, Trump maintains a narrative of victimhood, consistently casting himself as a target of media, prosecutors, and various institutions. When asked whether he was going to be present at the next court date, Trump mentioned his intention to skip the appearance in favor of a golf tournament. These episodes emphasize the high-stakes nature of Trump's legal battles and have sparked questions regarding potential violations of his bail conditions and gag orders.
From yesterday’s show:
Trump EXPLODES, 41 posts in 2 hours
Failed former President Donald Trump continues to post erratically to Truth Social, despite the platform only having two million active users and him being welcome back on Elon Musk’s Twitter/X. This week, Trump went on an extensive and erratic posting spree, touching upon a broad spectrum of subjects. Among his posts were declarations of victory over political adversaries, the sharing of right-wing articles, and the employment of potentially controversial language. One notable instance involved his use of “peekaboo” when referring to New York Attorney General Letitia James, sparking allegations of racism. Additionally, Trump delved into discussing polling data from a variety of sources. The sheer volume and diversity of his posts raise questions about the former president's activities and the extent of his engagement with the platform. It's also worth noting that some of these posts could be seen as potentially running afoul of recent gag orders that have been imposed in multiple trials involving the former president.
From yesterday’s show:
INSANE: Biden raises TWICE as much money as Trump!
In the third quarter of 2023, Joe Biden's campaign, in partnership with the DNC and a joint fundraising committee, raised an impressive $71.3 million, nearly doubling Donald Trump's fundraising figures. Biden's numbers do fall short of Trump's at the same point in 2019, but it’s substantially more than the $45 million the Trump campaign has raised this cycle. Other Republican contenders like Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, and Tim Scott are raising considerably less with mega-donors now believing it’s not worth their investment to fund these failing campaigns. The contrast raises questions about the levels of support and enthusiasm behind both candidates. Biden, despite being the presumptive Democratic nominee, faces an energized Trump as the official Republican candidate, which may drive turnout in the 2024 election. Regardless of the fundraising and polling numbers, the key takeaway like always is to stress the importance of voting as that’s what will ultimately decide the outcome of the race.
