Matt Gaetz Feels "Vindicated" Despite Being Under Investigation
Matt Gaetz recently appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show in what was his first appearance on Fox News in a year and claimed he was “vindicated” over the serious allegations against him. It’s now been a year since it was announced Gaetz was being investigated for possible child sex trafficking and prostitution crimes. So far, no charges have come the Florida congressman’s way, but the investigation is still happening and the process for these types of probes can often take a long time. But Carlson thought it was suspicious that Gaetz still hasn’t been charged with anything, so he invited him back on his primetime program. Gaetz said, “this was an operation to destroy me, to harm my family, to hinder my ability to serve my district and the movement that I represent in Congress.” Tucker asked the congressman whether he expects to get indicted as part of the investigation, which Gaetz refused to answer directly. These two acted during this interview like the scandal is over when, in reality, it could all just be getting started.
Alex Jones TURNS on Trump: "Ron DeSantis is Better Than Trump
Conspiracy theorist and Infowars host Alex Jones continues to turn his back on Donald Trump, and now he’s coming out as a full-fledged Ron DeSantis supporter. Jones had previously been upset with Trump for getting the COVID booster shot, and now he’s gone ever further by backing Trump’s possible opponent in the upcoming 2024 Republican primaries. Alex said on his show, “I’ve gone from liking DeSantis to loving DeSantis to my instincts have told me he’s good to he’s got my full backing. He’s the real deal, he’s better than Trump. I’m not trying to pick favorites here. I want Trump to get jealous and become more like DeSantis. We all need to be more like DeSantis. He’s a gentleman, he’s smart, he’s a family man, he’s a patriot, he’s a veteran, he’s our leader.” It used to be a foregone conclusion that Trump would win the 2024 Republican primary if he chose to run. As it turns out, the former president may actually have a fight on his hands because the Florida governor’s stock is surging in these far right circles.

Trump: I Have No Idea What Burner Phones Are; Bolton: Trump Said It All the Time
Donald Trump’s former National Security Adviser John Bolton confirms that his former boss knew exactly what a “burner phone” was and used the term himself in conversations. Trump has denied even knowing what a burner phone is after reports came out about seven hours of missing call logs from White House records during the January 6th Capitol riots. Bolton went on CNN’s “New Day” and said, “I can’t understand what the former president is saying because I heard him use the term ‘burner phone’ a number of times. It’s hardly like it’s some obscure highly classified set of words.” Clearly Trump knows what the term means and this draws into question whether he used them on January 6, 2021 and throughout his presidency. While John Bolton is a warmongering neocon and an architect of the disastrous Iraq War, he certainly is more likely to be telling the truth about this than Donald Trump.
From yesterday’s show:
They're Saying Disney Is Trying to Make Kids Gay
Conservative media figures are arguing that Disney is trying to make kids gay. This is the latest cultural flashpoint in right-wing circles and it stems from a leaked conference call with officials at the Walt Disney Company. Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA said, “why else would you want to have two dudes or two women kissing in a Disney film? What is the agenda? To expose them to it or to increase the ranks of the LGBTQ community?” Newsmax host Greg Kelly compared being gay to a hobby that is inappropriate to talk about in most circles. Kelly said, “I love trains. I love them. I don’t talk a lot about them on TV because it’s a pretty niche hobby and not a lot of people are into it, alright?” What Disney is trying to accomplish with its content is to be representative of the real world. There are many kids with LGBT parents or who are LGBT themselves and having that represented in Disney movies and TV shows is an important way to make these kids feel normal and accepted.

Hi David!
I've been watching your program for several years now and always enjoyed your topics. I am in total agreement with your observations. I've brought up a little known topic: John Brown and the Harper's Ferry Insurrection. Below is a note that I sent to my cousin the other day and I felt that I should share this with you, so here goes:
In 1859 John Brown led a rebellion against the US government at Harper's Ferry, VA. His intention was not to overthrow the government but to simply emancipate the southern slaves. In his defense he said, he “never did intend murder, or treason, of the destruction of property, or to excite or incite Slaves to rebellion, or to make insurrection.” Of course, he was found guilty for murder, inciting slaves to rebel, and treason against the Commonwealth of Virginia. The rebellion occurred on October 16, 1859. Three months later he was hanged.
Fast forward to the January 6 insurrection. The insurrection resulted in death, treason and "the destruction of property". Not only that, but a lot of people were "incited" to rebel, "or to make insurrection".
What separates the outcome of the former in contrast to the latter? Was John Brown's trial a rush to judgement or have we white washed the past, hoping that the majority would remain ignorant of it?
If John Brown's rebellion is a precedent, how come nobody has applied the lessons of it to the capitol insurrection? Shouldn't we have already hanged the people who incited "to rebellion, or to make insurrection"?
Your thoughts?
Thank you,

You can't make people gay. Republicans are just insane. They are fighting a losing battle against the enlightened, civilized acceptance of diversity. States that insist on such bigotry will find themselves in the backwaters as people move to states that aren't led by people with Gulag mentalities.
