A few days ago (or weeks?…time flies!) I read that Adelita doesn’t necessarily need the Speaker to administer to her the oath. That it could be someone else. Since then no more talk about it. Is the idea legit?
David I realized today that the MAGA cult is so afraid of uncertainty that they would rather put their faith in an autocrat who reduces everything to his own surety (appropriate or not) about the truths of life as he sees it with no room for doubt or opposition, than to live, as most of us do, with daily uncertainty as a fact of life. Uncertainty as a concept which cannot be borne by MAGA people, as a fact of life, that truth is unimportant and insignificant compared to security. I don’t mean to psychoanalyze MAGA, although as a group they seem to possess certainly about their political beliefs, and are entirety unwilling to change. Thanks for your excellent show.
