Shocking Trump audio confirms he believed in reinstatement
Donald Trump’s legal team is facing scrutiny for possibly presenting faulty evidence during the civil fraud trial of the Trump Organization. The trial, situated in New York, revolves around allegations that Trump’s business misrepresented real estate values for loan collateral and property tax reduction purposes. The controversy deepened as the Trump team displayed inaccurate information about their buildings during the trial. For instance, they showcased 40 Wall Street as a 72-story building, contradicting the bond prospectus, which states it as 63 stories. Another instance involved the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, where the team presented it as a 64-story building, inconsistent with architectural drawings and common floor-skipping practices in Vegas. The discrepancy raises questions about whether these inaccuracies are intentional or clerical errors, potentially undermining the credibility of the defense. The irony lies in Trump's lawyers inadvertently reinforcing the very accusations they aim to refute, adding a layer of complexity to an already contentious trial, and seemingly making it more likely that a large judgment is decided against him.
OH NO: Trump lawyer presents evidence in court that PROVES THE WHOLE THING!
Jonathan Karl of ABC shared audio recordings of conversations with Donald Trump, revealing the former president's belief in a path to reinstatement after Joe Biden's inauguration. Trump seemed convinced that steps would unfold in states he lost, leading to his return to the White House. The recordings raised questions about whether Trump genuinely believed in reinstatement or if it was part of a strategic plan to curry favor with his supporters. One clip highlighted Trump's denial of threatening to leave the Republican Party, contrasting with previous reports and showcasing discomfort in his relationship with the party's establishment. The extraordinary revelations underscore how Trump was never fit to be president and certainly isn’t now. While it remains unclear if Trump truly believed in his reinstatement, the recordings contribute to the broader discussion about his post-presidential actions that sometimes delved into the realm of criminality.
From yesterday’s show:
Trump cognitive decline goes mainstream, Trump forgets who's President again
In recent weeks, mainstream media coverage has shifted towards highlighting instances of Donald Trump's apparent confusion and cognitive decline. The media had been perfectly fine covering Joe Biden’s gaffes and senior moments but largely ignored Trump’s for years. But Trump has had multiple instances at recent rallies of misidentifications, such as confusing Barack Obama for Biden and mistakenly attributing world leaders to the wrong country. This narrative has gained traction not only in corporate media but also among Trump's political rivals like Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis, who are now expressing concerns, possibly to gain traction in the polls. The Biden campaign has also intensified its focus on Trump's verbal gaffes. Regardless of cognitive concerns, the upcoming election presents a choice between Joe Biden, with a stable and effective team, and Trump, who would likely go full authoritarian and surround himself with only loyalists if re-elected. As the story gains mainstream attention, Trump’s cognitive decline may finally get more discussion among the electorate.
From yesterday’s show:
Tim Scott ends presidential campaign in total humiliation
South Carolina Republican Senator Tim Scott has officially ended his 2024 presidential campaign, after facing a lack of resonance for his optimistic message within the Republican Party. The New York Times reports that despite starting with substantial financial resources and differentiating himself from the often combative tone of some Republican candidates, Scott struggled to gain traction and failed to break out of the pack of Trump challengers. His campaign, despite significant spending, showed stagnant poll numbers and lacked a breakout moment like a strong debate moment. With Scott's exit, the presidential race appears increasingly dominated by figures like Donald Trump, who polls at almost 60%, with Ron DeSantis seeing a spike to 14%, and Nikki Haley surging to 9%. The impact of Trump's legal challenges on his potential candidacy remains a question and perhaps that’s why the other Republican candidates haven’t yet dropped out of the race.
