A tentative deal between Israel and Hamas, expected to be signed in Egypt within 24 hours, proposes a hostage-prisoner swap that could lead to a temporary ceasefire. Under the agreement, Israeli hostages would be exchanged for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners, though only about 20 hostages are believed to still be alive. Israel would partially withdraw from Gaza within 24 hours, and Hamas would release hostages within 72 hours.
Democratic Senators Mark Kelly and Ruben Gallego publicly confronted House Speaker Mike Johnson over his delay in swearing in Alita Grijalva, accusing him of stalling to obstruct the release of the Epstein files. Johnson denied the accusation, claiming the House Oversight Committee is already working on the documents. Grijalva’s imminent swearing-in is expected to advance the release of the files, highlighting Democrats’ push for accountability.
Hakeem Jeffries displayed a moment of assertiveness, challenging Republican Congressman Mike Lawler over Medicaid cuts and the government shutdown. He criticized Lawler for prioritizing tax breaks for the wealthy over protections like ACA extensions, signaling a willingness among Democratic leadership to confront Republicans.
House Speaker Mike Johnson faced public embarrassment on C-SPAN when a military wife described how delayed pay could threaten her children’s medication. Johnson offered no concrete solutions, instead deflecting to his military district. His evasive responses on healthcare and loyalty to Trump highlighted his dishonesty and dependence on Trump’s approval.
Donald Trump’s own actions continue to raise serious concerns. It’s been revealed that last month, he publicly leaked a private message directing Attorney General Pam Bondi to prosecute political opponents, including Comey and Schiff, revealing his interference in justice. Trump also showed legal ignorance, confusing habeas corpus for a person and bragging about restricting freedom of speech by punishing flag burning, a constitutionally protected activity.
Trump’s cognitive and physical health has become an urgent focus. His upcoming Walter Reed medical evaluation, following visible disorientation, swelling, and balance issues, has raised widespread speculation about his fitness for office. His recent rambling Fox News interview, in which he claimed tariffs could “save millions of lives” and misrepresented economic effects, reinforced concerns about his mental clarity and highlighted the stakes of the forthcoming evaluation.
Finally, Tammy Baldwin, Democratic Senator from Wisconsin, joins us to discuss the government shutdown, healthcare funding, the effects of Trump’s trade war on her state, and much more…

Trump needs a thorough mental evaluation, not the quickie screening to repeat 5 words, draw hands on a clock, and name the animal cartoons on paper.
He ain’t leaving. Stroke or heart attack are the only way out.
