Republican Declares Trump "Absolutely Guilty" of Crimes
Congressman Adam Kinzinger, a Republican from Illinois, said in a recent interview that former President Trump is “absolutely guilty” of a crime surrounding the January 6th riot at the Capitol. Kinzinger, who is a member of the January 6th committee, added that even though he does not have the power to press charges, he believes Trump is guilty of some kind of crime. The January 6th committee is set to meet next week to discuss potential criminal referrals. If Trump were to be charged over this or any other potential crime he’s been implicated in, it would likely sour his odds of becoming the next president of the United States. If only more Republicans like Kinzinger had stood up to Trump, he would have been banned from serving in public office and would not be able to run for president again.
Trump HUMILIATED After "Major Announcement" of "Digital Trading Cards"
Former President Donald Trump teased a major announcement earlier this week, leading many to speculate he was going to drop out of the presidential race or announce a running mate. But embarrassingly enough, the announcement turned out to be the release of his official digital NFT trading cards which can be purchased for $99 each. Trump posted to Truth Social: “MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT! My official Donald Trump Digital Trading Card collection is here! These limited edition cards feature amazing ART of my Life & Career!” This move is getting mocked by both the left and the right. It’s clearly just the next way for Donald Trump to grift off of his supporter base. Even if it doesn’t improve his odds of becoming the next Republican nominee, he’ll be able to make money from it along the way.
From yesterday’s show:
Obama Accurately Calls Out the Toxic Left
Barack Obama spoke at the Obama Foundation summit yesterday and he used the platform to call out the toxic let. Obama emphasized they while they may make up only a small part of the left, they can often be destructive and counterproductive. He pointed out that some young people, particularly on college campuses, have a tendency to be overly judgmental of others on social media, and that this is not productive activism. Instead, Obama suggested that people should focus on bringing about change and not just casting stones. He also encouraged people to look for shared values and desires with others, even if they don't agree on every issue. Obama's message was a reminder to be more inclusive and to not let perfection become the enemy of the good.
From yesterday’s show:
Trump Hits 7-YEAR LOW in Polls as Biden Climbs
Donald Trump's approval rating has hit a seven-year low, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released yesterday. Only 31% of registered voters surveyed hold a favorable view of Trump, compared to 59% who view him unfavorably. This is the lowest rating Trump has received since July 2015, shortly after he launched his first presidential bid. Meanwhile, Joe Biden's approval rating is at its highest point since September 2021. 43% of respondents say they approve of Biden, while 49% disapprove. These numbers are yet another indication of Trump’s presidential run being off to a bad start. His low approval rating has put him behind Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in some polls and in the betting markets.
