Softball Trump interview goes wrong, Trump drops "globalist" bomb
In a recent interview with British political activist Raheem Kassam, former President Donald Trump made a series of baseless claims about immigration, including allegations of people coming from prisons and mental institutions, and being terrorists, with no pushback from the interviewer. Trump also expressed his dissatisfaction with some Fox News anchors for not unwaveringly supporting him and discussed his creative process for coming up with nicknames. He briefly mentioned plans to write an autobiography, despite great skepticism about his reading and writing abilities. Amidst this, there was an unexpected moment of introspection as Trump talked about missing his deceased brothers and father, highlighting the complexity of his communication style, combining his unfounded assertions with some rare glimpses of humanity.
Trump whines about not having a jury in pathetic video
Failed former President Donald Trump's outlandish behavior surrounding his New York fraud trial has become the subject of great attention. Trump left the trial abruptly yesterday during lunch and voiced complaints about not having a jury, despite not having requested one through his legal team. This raised concerns about his grasp of the trial's proceedings and how much he understands versus how much he’s lying. Furthermore, Trump's remarked on the possibility of him becoming Speaker of the House, in spite of Republican rules prohibiting this due to ongoing felony indictments, underscoring his tenuous connection with practical political realities. His presence at the trial has prompted speculation about his motivations, ranging from intimidating witnesses to spreading disinformation, rallying his base, fundraising, and micromanaging his legal team, further highlighting his influence within the Republican Party and his unconventional approach to legal matters and political strategy.
From yesterday’s show:
MAGA CHAOS: Republicans REMOVE Kevin McCarthy from Speaker of the House
In a historic and chaotic turn of events, eight Republican House members, in collaboration with Democrats, have removed Kevin McCarthy from his position as Speaker of the House. This is a result of Representative Matt Gaetz leading the charge to oust McCarthy due in part to his willingness to work with Democrats to prevent a government shutdown. This unprecedented move reflects the deep divide within the Republican Party, with McCarthy opting not to seek the speakership again after his ousting. The party now faces the challenge of selecting a new Speaker, which will be as difficult as it was in January due to the narrow majority they have in Congress. While some Republicans view McCarthy’s ousting as necessary to prevent cooperation with Democrats, others see it as a destructive act by a small, egocentric faction of extremists. Democrats' decision not to intervene underscores their determination to have the Republican Party work out its internal struggles and make them look ineffective and unworthy of holding the majority.
From yesterday’s show:
Judge GAGS Trump after bonkers Truth Social attack
In response to former President Trump's incendiary posts on Truth Social, a judge has imposed a gag order in the Trump fraud trial, prohibiting public remarks about court staff members. This decision follows Trump launching a tirade against the judge, a top law clerk, and New York Attorney General Letitia James, sparking concerns about personal attacks and the effect they could have on his followers. While the civil lawsuit related to business fraud may be relatively inconsequential, Trump's inability to control his outbursts raises larger concerns as he faces impending criminal trials with 91 felony charges that could potentially result in a life sentence if convicted. Trump’s proclivity for attacking those involved in the legal process may pose challenges, including the risk of bond revocation and pretrial detention, while his legal team's reliance on non-legal arguments in court raises questions about their effectiveness as defenses. This civil trial offers a glimpse into the contentious legal battles ahead and the unprecedented territory of Trump's legal woes.

David, Mr. Packman: like you, soy argentino, nació en Zárate, I am also a Jew, but not a religious one. I very much appreciate all you’ve been saying about the Trump situation.
A new problem arises with the Palestinian situation. I’d like your views on this. I myself am opposed to Zionism and colonialism, so my views are thought to be problematic by many including my late father. By the way, he survived the holocaust. So I am hardly antisemitic just so you know. Keep the good work going in solidarity.
