The economy is showing signs of weakening, with private companies losing about 13,500 jobs per week, according to ADP data. This is especially concerning since official government jobs reports have been delayed due to Trump firing the BLS Commissioner and the government shutdown. The economic turmoil is in part due to Trump’s tariffs and proposed mass deportations that could reduce GDP.
Trump and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy have proposed a plan to improve passenger behavior on planes. They emphasize courtesy, keeping shoes on, and helping others with luggage. While some suggestions are reasonable, critics say it distracts from real issues like understaffed air traffic control, aging infrastructure, and frequent delays.
A federal judge dismissed the criminal cases Trump initiated against James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James. The ruling stated that Lindsey Halligan, the interim U.S. attorney Trump appointed, lacked legal authority to bring the charges. Halligan had no prosecutorial experience and was installed after career prosecutors refused to pursue the cases. Attorney General Pam Bondi says the administration will appeal to “hold them accountable.”
Trump’s long-promised health care plan has been delayed again, leaving uncertainty over ACA subsidies which could expire and double premiums for millions. Reports suggest a temporary extension of tax credits may be offered, but structural reforms are unlikely due to Republican opposition.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent suggested people move from blue states to red states to lower inflation. Even if blue states had slightly higher inflation, the savings would be about $25 a month. Moving would bring lower salaries, weaker schools, worse health care, and shorter life expectancy.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt repeatedly struggled in media interactions. She misrepresented Trump’s statements on H-1B visas, Ukraine, and controversial meetings. On Fox News, Leavitt claimed no presidential order could be illegal and suggested service members should not question orders. She also misrepresented the Comey and Letitia James case dismissals, insisting Halligan was legally appointed.
Finally, Marc Elias, a top Democratic election lawyer, joins us to discuss his arguments before the Supreme Court on December 9 in defense of federal limits on coordinated spending between parties and candidates.

If people moved from blue states to red states, wouldn't that make them purple. 😂 I'll pass on the $25. I think it would cost me a whole lot more than that to move.
That’s okay man, take your time on health care no rush
No big deadlines coming up or anything
