Reporter: Did you meet Kim Jong Un? Kristi Noem: IMPLODES
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem is facing increased scrutiny about the claims made in her book, which includes a fabricated story about meeting North Korean leader Kim Jong un. During an appearance on "Face the Nation," Noem struggled to justify the claim from her book. Despite being pressed for a direct answer, she offered vague statements about edits made to the book before its release. Noem's evasiveness and attempts at deflecting attention away from the issue proved ineffective. The conversation highlighted a pattern of dishonesty in Noem's claims, including her assertion of having been to North Korea when she only visited the DMZ. This revelation calls into question her integrity as a leader and likely lowers her chances of becoming Donald Trump’s running mate.
Trump confused, unable to answer simple questions, says Jews behind prosecution
Donald Trump continues to provide conflicting reasons for his refusal to testify in his New York hush money trial. Initially citing a gag order as the barrier, Trump later acknowledged that the order doesn't actually prevent his testimony, contradicting his earlier stance. It's apparent Trump won't testify, as his lawyers would be concerned about him incriminating himself and telling provable lies under oath. In a post-court rant, Trump espoused conspiracy theories, blaming his legal woes on George Soros, perpetuating anti-Semitic tropes. Trump further criticized Democrats, citing slight fluctuations in unemployment rates as evidence of their supposed destruction of the country's economy. Ultimately, Trump's refusal to clarify his stance on testifying shows he knows he won’t be doing so, but he wants to still look as though he’s fighting the charges to the best of his abilities.
From over the weekend:
Trump "election integrity" lawyer charged with election crimes
The former election integrity lawyer for Donald Trump, Christina Bobb, has been criminally charged with election-related crimes, an irony not lost on observers given her prominent role in pushing baseless claims of voter fraud. Bobb, known for her appearances on One America News and Right Side Broadcasting Network, was indicted in connection with a scheme to overturn the results of Arizona's presidential election. The charges come shortly after the Republican National Committee (RNC) announced a program to monitor polls for fraud. Despite claims of widespread fraud, evidence remains scant, with most examples appearing to be inconsequential accidents. Even Rudy Giuliani, also indicted in the Arizona case, has distanced himself from Bobb's actions. Bobb's indictment, alongside others, underscores the gap between rhetoric and reality in the pursuit of election integrity.
From over the weekend:
US fertility rate drops to lowest in 100 years
The US fertility rate has recently experienced a significant decline, sparking discussions on the broader implications for population growth and fertility worldwide. This downward trend is emblematic of global patterns influenced by factors such as economic development, urbanization, and shifts in education and employment opportunities, particularly for women. It underscores a larger phenomenon extending beyond national borders. Traditional economic models reliant on population growth for expansion are being challenged, raising concerns about future economic stability amidst declining populations. Contrary to fears of overpopulation, there is ample space for further population growth within the US. Consequently, there's increasing discourse around the potential role of immigration in offsetting declining birth rates and sustaining economic growth. This discussion hints at the necessity for reevaluating economic models and considering environmental implications in addressing these complex demographic shifts.

I shouldn't say this but here goes: If a woman discovers that she is pregnant, and doesn't want to carry the baby, all she has to do is lift something VERY heavy and it will induce bleeding. Immediately.
