Nikki Haley visibly struggles to explain why she's running against Trump
Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley continues to struggle to define the differences between herself and former President Donald Trump. During an interview on Fox News Sunday, she avoided directly criticizing Trump, instead focusing on the problems facing American families and on her intentions to introduce “new energy” to the Republican Party. The interviewer, Shannon Bream, pointed out that in running for the Republican presidential nomination, it was natural that her opponents would be discussed, and that her only opponent at this time was Trump. Clearly, Haley's strategy at this time is not to attack Trump, and maybe she’s doing so in order to become his eventual vice presidential nominee. Alternatively, Haley may be betting on Trump being indicted and dropping out, so that she becomes the most favorable candidate left in the race.
Trump vs DeSantis feud explodes as Trump goes full RINO
Donald Trump took to Truth Social over the weekend and attacked Ron DeSantis, his chief rival in the 2024 Republican presidential primary. Trump first attacked DeSantis for not being a real Republican, writing, “Ron DeSanctimonious wants to cut your Social Security and Medicare, closed up Florida & its beaches, loves RINOS Paul Ryan, Jeb Bush, and Karl Rove (disasters ALL!), is backed by Globalist’s Club for NO Growth, Lincoln Pervert Project, & ‘Uninspired’ Koch — And it only gets worse from there. He is a RINO in disguise!, whose Poll numbers are dropping like a rock. Good luck Ron!” He then made the case that DeSantis is way down against him in the polls, which is a clear misrepresentation of how the race is shaping up. He said, “‘Support for DeSantis cools in latest GOP POLL.’ Washington Times. Of course it cools. He wants to cut Social Security and Medicare.” If Trump is already this obsessed with DeSantis before the race has even started, he’s most definitely going to ramp up the attacks if and when the Florida governor declares his candidacy.

Very sick Senator says Kari Lake might STILL be "instated" Governor
Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers is trying to make a name for herself by claiming that failed gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake actually won her election and will soon be “instated” as governor. Rogers has previously called Lake the governor-elect of the state. When asked about this during an interview, Rogers said, “I was voted in by twenty-seven percentage points to do the very thing that I'm doing, which represents my constituents and make sure that my voters were not disenfranchised. And number two, you never know everything that will happen in terms of Kari Lake being instated as governor.” Like with so many of these election deniers, it’s unclear whether Rogers genuinely believes this nonsense or if she’s making everything up to grift and take advantage of her low-information right-wing supporters.

Desperate Trump says he hired Nikki Haley to stop her governorship
Donald Trump launched a totally unbelievable attack against his new opponent in the 2024 Republican presidential primary, Nikki Haley. In a post to Truth Social, Trump claimed that he chose Haley as his U.N. Ambassador as a way to save the people of South Carolina from having her as their governor. Trump said, “The greatest thing Nikki Haley did for our Country, and the Great State of South Carolina, was accepting the position of United Nations Ambassador so that the incredible then Lieutenant Governor, Henry McMaster, could be Governor of South Carolina, where he has done an absolutely fantastic job. That was a big reason why I appointed Nikki to the position—It was a favor to the people I love in South Carolina!” This statement by Trump is absurd and a clear attempt at gaslighting. But since South Carolina is an early primary state, he likely has assessed this as his best line of attack to get the win over Haley went voters go to the polls next year.
