Great discussion. The purity testing is fatal to the Dems, and it’s still very prevalent. I can’t stand it. We need to talk about that much more. It’s like the saying goes: Don’t let the perfect get in the way of the good. One thing I noticed, the very authentic, engaging politicians seem to rise above the desire of the electorate to a purity test them. I.E. Trump, Obama, Bernie, AOC, maybe Pete Buttigieg, and now Zohran Mamdani. Although the Dem elites still obviously are 3purity testing them and trying to take some of them down but it’s making, especially Zohran, more popular. So I guess the solution is authenticity and engaging candidates.
With the general dismantling of the Independent Agencies, including FEMA – Do we even have a Legislative Branch anymore? The lifetime employees of the agencies are responsible for turning statutes signed into law, into regulations and policies, as well as defining their enforcement protocols and mechanisms.
