Pence Turns on Trump, Trump LOSES IT
Mike Pence fired back against Donald Trump’s attacks on him in a way that made the ex-president go berserk. Trump has been attacking Pence for refusing to reject the Biden swing state electors from being counted on January 6, 2021. The former vice president apparently reached a boiling point, resulting in the following remarks at The Federalist Society on Friday: “President Trump is wrong. I had no right to overturn the election. The presidency belongs to the American people and the American people alone. . . . Under the Constitution, I had no right to change the outcome of our election.” It did not take long for a triggered Trump to release the following statement that read in part, “I was right and everyone knows it. If there is fraud or large scale irregularities, it would have been appropriate to send those votes back to the legislatures to figure it out.” Trump will obviously never forgive Pence for choosing democracy over him. This means that if Trump does run again in 2024 and wins the Republican nomination, there is very little chance that he’ll be choosing Pence as his running mate.
WOW: Official Archives Raided Trump's Mar-a-Lago for Records
Last week, we covered a story about how Trump White House staffers would frequently have to tape together documents Trump ripped up in accordance with presidential records requirements. We’re now learning that other staffers who were on board with the destruction of documents frequently put papers into “burn bags” so they could be sent to the Pentagon for incineration. It was up to the aides to determine which documents would need to be saved and which would need to be burned. According to an allegation made by Omarosa Manigault Newman in 2018, Trump once ate a piece of paper that had sensitive information on it to keep it off the record. One of the biggest issues in the 2016 election was Hillary Clinton’s untrustworthiness with top-secret information because of her email scandal, but Trump regularly tore up documents and sent them to be incinerated, yet he never got anything close to the level of scrutiny that Clinton did.

US Army Discharging Vaccine Refusers Effective Immediately
The US Army is beginning to discharge members who refuse the COVID vaccine. After plenty of notice and a long grace period, the military branch is finally following through with its commitment. The Army is making an exception for those who have an approved or pending exemption, such as for a medical or religious reason. It’s important that the military is following through with its promise to start discharging servicemembers who are not battle-ready, as anything else would be going back on its word and could lead to distrust over future policy decisions. The vast majority of servicemembers don’t really have a legitimate reason to refuse the vaccine, especially when they took up to dozens of other vaccines without complaint. It’s not at all logical for servicemembers to argue that while it was acceptable for them to accept all of those other vaccines, that for some reason this one is a violation of their personal rights.

George W. Bush Maxes Out Donations to Republicans Who Impeached Trump
George W. Bush continues to subtly express his disdain for Donald Trump, this time by maxing out his campaign contributions to Republicans who voted for Trump’s second impeachment. Bush donated the maximum amount to Wyoming Representative Liz Cheney and Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski. Cheney is of course the daughter of Bush’s former vice president, Dick Cheney. The 43rd president gave Cheney $5,800 for her primary and general elections and Murkowski $2,900 for her primary in accordance with the maximum amounts determined by the FEC. The takeaway here is not that Bush is a great guy for opposing Trump in this way. Rather, it’s to highlight the divide in the Republican Party and to show how much the GOP has changed in such a short period of time. Trump attacked Bush when he found it useful during his campaigns and presidency. And now, Bush has an opportunity to fight back against Trump by maxing out his campaign contributions to Trump’s political enemies.

The sentence "... how Trump White House staffers would frequently have to tape together documents Trump ripped up in accordance with presidential records requirements." is ambiguous. He did not rip them up in accordance with presidential records requirements, they taped them together to meet those requirements. Perhaps change the middle to " - which Trump had ripped up - ".
