Trump struggles to read from paper at unhinged court fiasco
Yesterday, Donald Trump struggled both before and after his former lawyer Michael Cohen's testimony, arriving with a stack of printouts and going on a two-minute rant about polling, claiming to lead in several swing states. Accompanied by Senators JD Vance and Tommy Tuberville, Trump used the printouts as props and read supportive quotes from friends, asserting his innocence and denouncing the trial as a political witch hunt. He exaggerated rally attendance numbers, claiming 100,000 attendees despite eyewitness estimates of 10,000 to 15,000, and expressed frustration over the cold courtroom. Additionally, Trump falsely alleged that authorities blocked his supporters from reaching the courthouse, although only a few were present. Overall, Trump’s pre-trial remarks were marked by delusional assertions and attempts to discredit the judicial process, highlighting his ongoing efforts to rally support amid mounting legal challenges.
Trump EXPLODES, rants like madman after Michael Cohen testimony
Following Michael Cohen's testimony, which reportedly captivated the jury and could lead to Trump's conviction, Trump lashed out. He criticized the judge as corrupt and conflicted, claiming all networks agreed there was no case against him, a statement CNN's Jake Tapper refuted. Trump, visibly agitated, reiterated similar points he made earlier, complaining about not being able to campaign due to court obligations and accusing the judge of preventing him from campaigning, despite often choosing not to campaign on his days off. Trump’s post-testimony rants included holding up articles, often from Fox News, to support his innocence, illustrating a propaganda cycle where Fox News articles are cited by Trump and then reported by Fox News as being endorsed by him. This cycle exemplifies how Trump uses media to bolster his claims of innocence.

BIDEN GOES TRUMP? Massive dumps of Chinese tariffs
Joe Biden is set to increase tariffs on certain Chinese products, specifically raising the tariff on Chinese electric vehicles from 27.5% to 102.5%. This significant hike contrasts with Donald Trump's tariffs, which targeted a broader range of goods including solar panels, steel, and electronics. Trump's tariffs disrupted supply chains, increased costs, and had limited immediate American alternatives, making them particularly harmful. In contrast, tariffs on finished Chinese electric vehicles might support the domestic manufacturing chain without significantly disrupting other industries. However, the debate remains complex, with arguments for both supporting and opposing the new tariffs. Some believe unrestricted competition would benefit the U.S. economy long-term, while others see tariffs as necessary to protect American jobs and industries. A detailed analysis of the electric vehicle market is required to determine the tariffs' overall impact.

Russell Brand is now promoting Ivermectin
Russell Brand continues to parrot conspiracy theories to make himself more likable to the right, with the latest example being his troubling endorsement of ivermectin for COVID-19. Brand now supports ivermectin, an anti-parasitic drug proven ineffective against COVID-19 by multiple large trials. This stance is further exacerbated by former CNN host Chris Cuomo, who also supports ivermectin, claiming it was unfairly maligned during the pandemic. Despite claims of its suppressed effectiveness, current evidence definitively shows ivermectin does not work against COVID-19 and can have serious side effects. Brand’s commentary underscores the importance of adhering to scientifically validated information and empirical approaches to treatment. Russell's decline in promoting debunked theories is a significant and unfortunate departure from his potentially constructive influence.
