We interviewed Trump supporters, SCARY INSANE!
During a 4th of July weekend Trump rally in Pickens, South Carolina, TDPS correspondent Luke Beasley interviewed attendees, revealing a level of cultish devotion and nuttiness surrounding former President Donald Trump. One individual dismissed the federal indictment against Trump, comparing it to receiving cookies, and that it was quite common for powerful people to have sex with porn stars. The conversations became increasingly absurd as participants defended Trump's disturbing comments about his daughter and accused liberals of pathological lying. The interviews highlighted the inability of some individuals to engage in rational discourse, with one person dismissing valid arguments as “what aboutism” without understanding what the concept even means. Another interviewee denied the existence of an audio recording where Trump admitted to crimes, despite evidence to the contrary being readily available. Overall, the interviews demonstrated the extreme and misguided loyalty exhibited by many Trump supporters and the challenges faced when trying to engage in meaningful dialogue with them.
Trump's brain breaks as rally crowd boos Lindsey Graham
Donald Trump held a rally in Pickens, South Carolina, and he was introduced by one of the state’s U.S. senators, Lindsey Graham. Lindsey was harshly booed by the supposedly friendly MAGA crowd, prompting him to abruptly leave the stage and turn the mic over to the main act. The audience's disapproval continued when Trump mentioned Graham. Trump then delved into his disdain for “wokeness,” stating that nobody truly understands its meaning, highlighting how Republicans are ignorant about the very issue they dedicate the majority of their time speaking about. Trump went on to defend his controversial phone calls, claiming they were perfect despite allegations of pressuring officials to overturn election results in Arizona and Georgia. He attacked special prosecutor Jack Smith, labeling him a thug and questioning his credibility, while also going after Joe Biden who he believes did worse. So much of Trump’s rallies these days consist of the former president talking about the charges against him and cultural topics, rather than real policy discussions about issues that actually affect his base and the American people more broadly.

Fox Host asks Trump tool to explain why economy is terrible, he can't
Former Trump economic adviser Larry Kudlow went on Fox News to speak about the economy under President Joe Biden’s tenure. Kudlow attempted to make the case that the economy isn’t doing well under Biden, but he lacked the data to back up his claim. Conceding that the jobs numbers are strong, Kudlow tried making the case that the economy wasn’t growing fast enough. He said, “We're growing at 1%. The level of consumer prices has gone up 15.6% since February of 2021. They didn't deliver.” Host Sandra Smith interrupted Larry and explained to him, “Markets are up. Look, there's key economic data points that are coming out that make it look like this economy isn’t going into a recession.” In addition to the stock market recovering much of its losses from 2022, inflation is down significantly, and consumer confidence is up as well. If these same numbers were being overseen by the Trump administration, Larry Kudlow would be saying this is the best economy of our lifetimes.
From Monday’s show:
LOL: Chris Christie POUNDS Trump on Fox News
Chris Christie continues to be the only Republican presidential candidate who’s willing to go after Donald Trump. Christie went on Fox News recently and excoriated Trump on a number of policy issues. He said, “[Trump] didn't build the wall. Mexico didn't pay for it. Didn't repeal and replace Obamacare. He said he would. Said he was going to balance the budget. He didn’t.” Christie went on to criticize the former president for considering skipping out on the primary debates, arguing that voters should have the right to see all the candidates together on the same stage. None of the points that Christie made are all that remarkable, but what is remarkable is how he’s the only Republican willing to take the fight to Trump. Ever since Trump entered the political arena, Republicans have been scared to go after him, even when they’re competing with him for a job. Christie’s candidacy will be a test case for whether a non-MAGA candidate can make any traction in today’s Republican Party.
