A new Fox News poll shows a major problem for Donald Trump. Seventy percent of Americans say groceries cost more than a year ago, and sixty percent blame him. Trump promised to fix inflation on day one, but prices keep rising, partly due to his tariffs and trade war rhetoric. Voters, including some Republicans, now see him as responsible for worsening economic pain.
Trump also drew ridicule for a paper sign taped outside the Oval Office. Printed in his trademark gold script and stuck to the wall, it quickly sparked mockery online. Some compared it to signs used in memory care facilities. The White House claimed it was part of an effort to “make the White House beautiful,” but critics see it as another example of Trump’s gaudy taste and a reminder that money can’t buy class.
Forensic psychiatrist Dr. Bandy Lee warns that Trump’s mental state may be increasingly dangerous. On The Daily Beast podcast, Lee said his authoritarian behavior stems from insecurity rather than strength. Deploying ICE agents and National Guard troops and consolidating power fuels a feedback loop that increases instability. Lee stands by her warnings, saying Trump shows traits similar to violent offenders who lash out when cornered.
Gavin Newsom faced a question about mimicking Trump’s social media style. NBC’s Kristen Welker asked if it risked normalizing Trump’s behavior. Newsom said his intent was the opposite, to denormalize it by holding up a mirror to Trump’s absurdity. He pointed to Trump’s AI images of himself as the Pope or a superhero. Newsom’s satire exposes how far political discourse has fallen and highlights a flaw in mainstream reporting.
Trump also panic-posted on Truth Social warning Republicans could face brutal midterms unless they terminate the filibuster and force through GOP policies. He falsely called California’s redistricting unconstitutional and rigged. Trump’s focus is on procedural shortcuts to entrench power rather than persuading voters.
There is growing concern about what happens if Trump refuses to follow the Supreme Court. Federal judges have already issued orders he ignored, from deportation flights to criminal contempt findings. The Court relies on the executive branch to enforce rulings, and if the President refuses, there is no mechanism to compel compliance.
Finally, Ted Cruz and Maria Bartiromo had a bizarre exchange on national TV about Operation Arctic Frost, the FBI investigation into Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election. Cruz claimed it was “Biden’s Watergate,” and Bartiromo repeated the line without question. In reality, the investigation focused on Trump’s attempts to subvert democracy, including the fake elector schemes.

My husband spent time on a rehab centre recovering from a stroke. A young pharmacist was also there having fried his brains using many drugs. He could not find his way around. So a paper sign was placed on his door, ‘Daniels room’ to help him. Sounds like the same problem to me.
I bet he ordered a gold sign and that's where he wants it to be mounted
