Fauci Caught on Hot Mic Calling Republican Senator "Moron"
Dr. Anthony Fauci testified before a Senate committee on the state of the COVID-19 pandemic, and in a hilarious moment he was caught on a hot mic calling a Republican senator a “moron.” Senator Roger Marshall of Kansas put up a chart showing Fauci’s annual salary of $434,312 and asked for public disclosure of his finances and investments. After repeatedly saying that that information is already public knowledge and that Senator Marshall’s office can find it if they want to, Chairwoman Patty Murray brought an end to the questioning. Fauci then, perhaps not realizing his microphone was still on or perhaps not caring, whispered “what a moron” followed by “Jesus Christ.” Dr. Fauci was right, and hilariously some of Marshall’s right-wing allies are criticizing Fauci over his lack of decorum despite the fact that they supported Donald Trump, who’s never held back from insulting his political enemies.
Trump Hangs Up on NPR When Confronted About Election Lies
Donald Trump hung up on an interview with NPR’s Steve Inskeep after getting completely dismantled over his 2020 election lies. These days, Trump rarely does interviews with members of the press who actually push back on his claims, and this exchange shows exactly why. Inskeep said to Trump that the ballots were audited in Arizona and they were determined to be in good standing, prompting Trump to say the problem was that they had bogus signatures. Inskeep then said the Republican Party which ran the audit accepted the results, to which Trump said they’re not really Republicans but are instead RINOs (Republicans In Name Only). The NPR reporter then pointed out that Trump’s own lawyers and judges he appointed said the results were fine and that there was no fraud, to which Trump said the lawyers were mistaken. Then Inskeep asked why Trump’s Republican colleagues in the Senate aren’t standing up for him and all Trump could say was “because Mitch McConnell is a loser.” Knowing it was going quite poorly, the ex-POTUS hung up the phone before Inskeep could finish asking his questions. This is how every Trump interview on this topic should go, but sadly, many of them go without any pushback.

MAGA REVOLT: Lunatics Call Trump "Fraud," "Sham"
Some Republicans are going full-on anti-Trump, but not for the conventional reasons we’ve seen over the past few years. There are now right-wingers who think Donald Trump turned his back on the movement and that he is not extreme enough. They take particular issue with his promotion of the COVID vaccines and granting endorsements of establishment Republican candidates. Daniel McCarthy, who is running for a US Senate seat in Arizona, is one such example. He released an ad recently wherein he called out Trump over a number of grievances and set a MAGA hat on fire. McCarthy said in a video message that it was wrong for Trump to complain about election fraud when he was “warned in advance” by his campaign team that McCarthy’s last campaign had been “stolen from” in the 2020 primaries. It’s crazy to think that the American right could be splintering yet again, this time between pro-Trump forces and those who don’t believe Trump is radical enough. However, all of this infighting should be beneficial to the left and an opportunity to keep winning elections.

Fox Reporter Tries Psaki COVID Takedown, Fails AGAIN
Fox News reporter Peter Doocy has returned to the White House press room after coming down with COVID-19, and he wasted no time trying to score points against Press Secretary Jen Psaki. Doocy pushed subtle anti-vax talking points by glossing over the fact that COVID vaccines are highly effective against hospitalization and death. He said, “I’m triple vaxxed, still got COVID. You’re triple vaxxed, still got COVID. Why is the president referring to this as a pandemic of the unvaccinated?” Psaki fired back that there is a “huge difference” between someone getting minor symptoms like a runny nose or a cough versus someone ending up on a ventilator in the intensive care unit. The point of Doocy’s question was to give credence to those in the Fox audience who are vaccine skeptical. Hopefully those who listened to his question also heard Psaki’s response and the statistics she laid out that “you are seventeen times more likely to go to the hospital if you are not vaccinated, twenty times more likely to die.”
