Trump says he won all 50 states in 2020 election at sick speech
During a recent event in Kissimmee, Florida, former President Donald Trump made a series of bewildering and unsubstantiated claims, including a fantastical assertion that he had triumphed in the election in all 50 states. This declaration, which has no basis in reality, either reflects a disturbing level of delusion or a significant cognitive disconnect. Trump's statements included the false assertion that he had achieved a clean sweep in a non-existent Republican primary. Furthermore, he exhibited a geographical inaccuracy by suggesting that Hungary shares a border with Russia. These erratic comments not only raise concerns about Trump's authoritarian tendencies but also cast doubt on his cognitive and emotional stability, making the prospect of his return to the presidency a cause for great concern.
You're being lied to about Dem voters "abandoning" Biden
Two recent polls have raised concerns about President Joe Biden's handling of the Israeli-Hamas conflict and its potential impact on his reelection prospects. The first poll suggests that 31% of American voters are less likely to vote for Biden in 2024 due to his approach to this issue, while only 14% are more likely to support him. However, a closer examination reveals that most of the negative sentiment comes from Republicans, who were unlikely to vote for Biden to begin with. Among Democrats, who primarily supported Biden in the previous election, 60% indicate that his handling of the crisis doesn't influence their voting decision, and 28% even feel more likely to vote for him based on this issue. Both polls highlight a more nuanced impact of Biden's stance on the Israeli-Hamas conflict on his overall electoral support, with the broader context of voters' priorities playing a crucial role in their decisions.
From over the weekend:
OH NO: Republicans TURN on Lauren Boebert after groping fiasco
Lauren Boebert, the Republican representative from Colorado, faces a growing challenge to her political career as she confronts opposition from both Democrats and disapproval within her own party. Despite narrowly winning re-election in 2022, her behavior, including being escorted out of a theater performance of “Beetlejuice” for vaping and engaging in inappropriate public conduct, has eroded her support among Republicans in Colorado. Republican primary challenger Jeff Hurd has garnered endorsements from prominent figures like former Colorado Governor Bill Owens, making Boebert's re-election prospects uncertain. Democrats are closely watching the situation, considering whether Hurd or her Democratic opponent, Adam Frisch, has a better chance of defeating Boebert in the general election. Removing Boebert from office would significantly reshape the political landscape in Colorado's Third Congressional District and challenge the influence of the controversial “MAGA triumvirate” in Congress.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders lowest approval rating in 20 years
Arkansas Republican Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders is facing a significant decline in her approval rating, hitting a low of 48%, the lowest for any Arkansas governor in the past two decades. Despite Arkansas being a historically red state with higher expectations for its leaders, this decline can be attributed to a combination of factors, including controversies stemming from Sanders' decisions, such as banning certain words and concepts, extravagant spending on a lectern, and weakening child labor protections. However, the main reason for this drop in approval seems to be the tendency of many Arkansans to blame President Joe Biden for the state's economic problems, despite the fact that Arkansas faces distinct economic challenges. This leads them to continue supporting Sanders and possibly vote for Republican candidates in upcoming elections, even though many of the state's issues are deeply rooted in years of Republican policies. It remains to be seen if Arkansans will recognize the impact of their state's problems and shift their blame away from Biden to acknowledge the role of their Republican leadership in shaping Arkansas' challenges.
