Fox Host OFF SCRIPT, admits Biden economy is great
Fox News host Steve Doocy is occasionally offering sound opinions on his morning talk show, Fox & Friends. Despite being known as a right-wing personality, Doocy occasionally injects a dose of reality into discussions. In a recent clip, Doocy acknowledged that the Biden economy appears to be functioning well, highlighting uncontroversial data that supports this view. He said, “They've got some pretty good numbers going on. The jobs number is expected to come out a little later on today. It's expected to be about 225,000. Unemployment is expected to drop down to 3.6%. Yesterday, there was a blowout number. ADP said that about a half a million jobs were added in June. The construction sector itself added 97,000 jobs in June. That's the biggest increase month over month in a decade. So they've got these pretty good numbers.” Steve Doocy is correct about his economic analysis but the fact he’s being so honest on the Fox News airwaves raises questions. Some interpret his actions as a deliberate attempt to present a more balanced perspective, while others caution against attributing intentionality to the points he’s making. Ultimately, the true motivations behind Doocy's occasional departures from Fox News' talking points remain unclear but it’s excellent that he’s become the occasional voice of reason.
Trump malfunctions: Communists & "markers" won't be allowed in our "cunny"
Donald Trump's recent speeches have drawn attention due to his apparent cognitive glitches and inaccurate statements. In one speech in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Trump mentioned denying entry to communists and "markers" (presumably meaning Marxists), claiming they won't be allowed into the country. Trump's brain continually malfunctions during these events, and they are becoming increasingly frequent and severe. Additionally, Trump's response to a question from an audience member about farmland and pipelines revealed his lack of knowledge on the subject, responding with vague statements and an assertion that he had a plan without providing any details. Trump also made false claims about blue states legalizing the killing of children after birth, which is totally untrue and shows how Republicans need to lie to get people on their side in the abortion debate. Lastly, Trump projected corruption onto Joe Biden, despite his own legal troubles with multiple indictments, and spent the rest of the speech playing his “greatest hits.”
From over the weekend:
Fox Host: Was there fentanyl in White House cocaine? Other host: WTF?
Steve Doocy once again came across as the voice of reason on Fox & Friends, this time during a segment about cocaine being found at the White House. Brian Kilmeade raised the question of whether fentanyl was also in the substance, which was met with confusion and skepticism from Doocy. Kilmeade commented on the recent overdose death of Robert De Niro's grandson and suggested a connection to the White House cocaine story. Then Doocy jumped in and said, “Fentanyl at the White House?” before Kayleigh McEnany stepped in and explained it was an unknown powder. Kilmeade appeared visibly annoyed by Doocy's interruption, while Doocy seemed frustrated with Kilmeade's seemingly baseless claims. These tense situations between Steve Doocy and the other co-hosts have been happening more often in recent months, suggesting he’s no longer happy with the constant right-wing hysteria he’s expected to play into.
From over the weekend:
Jobs numbers SHOCK: June jobs DOUBLE expectations
The job numbers for June have delivered positive news for the economy, with an impressive addition of 497,000 jobs, surpassing the initial estimate of 220,000. This growth was primarily observed in sectors such as leisure, hospitality, construction, and trade. However, these numbers do not necessarily address systemic economic issues like inequality and low wage growth. Right-wing media and politicians have been cherry-picking data and distorting facts to undermine the Biden administration's economic achievements. Of course, the economy is difficult to boil down to just “good” or “bad” since there are a number of indicators to look at. Despite the ongoing challenges, the American economy is solid, and when compared to other Western countries, outperforming in many categories. Additionally, Republican obstruction to Biden’s agenda has been a hindrance to potentially even stronger economic performance.
