One of our state senators, Doug Ericksen, actually fell ill on a trip and DIED from Covid and no one said where he was for months. Even after it was revealed that he had died no information was given to any press. Apparently it wasn’t any of our business. His constituents.

How can it be as high as 23???

Reggaemama's avatar

I wondered the same thing, Robert. Pathetic.

Russ's avatar

Yes you said my comment much better, thanks. The 23% are the only ones who really count,

sigh Is it over yet, Mommy?

I am sorry, I must have missed it. what part of all that do you feel needs more explaining than what everyone already knows?

First we had a group of White Male greedy billionaires working to advance their agenda for many decades, perverting the media that many millions of people relied on, corrupting politicians and Justices, THEN they allowed Trump to spread lies and conspiracy theories about Obama with no push back, then they acted like a bunch of weak cowards that could not call Trump out for what he is, THEN the media decided he was great for ratings, giving him a huge boost while forgiving his abhorent behavior... and it went downhill from there.

Yes, Trump is an idiot on pretty much every subject, has multiple major personality disorders, clearly has advancing dementia, has hired ONLY corrupt people willing to swear absolute personal loyalty to himself... Trump is also by nature a criminal and is treating the government as his exclusive possession to use for his personal gain and to attack those he does not like.

I certainly skipped over a LOT of details that could add more context and reasoned explanations for specific actions, such as his adoration and submissiveness to Putin, and his strong fondness for Dictators in general, but you probably got the point.

Perhaps if you were more specific in what needed further explanation?

They have the money, that is all that counts. It is amazing how the 1% becomes 23%. They learned that on Wall Street.

Why is this incompetent moron still in the White House?

margaretclark210@yahoo.com's avatar

Aye he wishes does that poor soul in the wh. The mooch says he's very clever. I dont see a semblance.

margaretclark210@yahoo.com's avatar

I love your response. Thankyou. My husband and I have a deep aversion for all things / people deferentisl.

I admire good people.

I detest this set up.

Hi David, Trump's obsession with masculinity is basically the same or at least similar to the same with the size of things such as crowds, monuments and the like or basic penis envy and in regard to the bruises on his hands and swelling, as a medical professional, I suspect multiple IVs and kidney failure or the early stages thereof. Just my opinion. Has Trump ever taken responsibility for his actions? Keep up the good fight.

I’m glad you’re a mouthpiece for the 77 percent of us who can’t abide President Poopypants.

margaretclark210@yahoo.com's avatar

Thankyou for reply. Much appreciated.

Russ's avatar

global confidence in Donald Trump has fallen to 23%

So the 23% includes Putin and Xi, and Bezos, Zuck and Musk. The other 77% do not count.

You say that but in UK we've been informed that his popularity has surged because of The strait of Hormuz. What's the truth?

Douglas Gilligan's avatar

Even the most sanitized version of press reports on Trump relating to Iran and Hormuz is confused at best, and mocking at worst. The polls I have seen here in the US seem to indicate he is getting lower every month. It is now in the lower 30's in most polls I believe.

Trump has a habit of lying, creating his own reality, especially when reality is not kind to him. Some 'news' organizations get lazy and simply report what Trump says, so it can get confusing if nobody is there to clarify what the facts are.

Russ's avatar

We have long past the point where truth and facts matter. The press has become apathetic and complacent. Making a story every time he says something is not news when it is intentionally worded to confuse. The best medicine is silence as if he did not exist. Report the consequences instead.

A good example is the reflecting pool disaster. It has construction defects and cost overruns. Instead press makes big news over arrests that Trump and Co characterize as vandalism. So the construction defects gets buried and the problem becomes the vandals. We know that is an attempt to deflect responsibility. Does anyone champion a defense fund for the arrested? No, let them suffer, good news maker. Milk the issue for all its is worth.

Douglas Gilligan's avatar

The truth does matter, to the people. At least most of us are tired of the lies.

Personally I like an approach similar to yours. Instead of focusing on the individual crimes and other bad things he does, just add them to the list, per category of all the things he has done that prove he is not fit for office. The count is currently in the hundreds and he adds more every day. THAT is the ongoing news item that joins all these individual acts together into one BIG story.

Trump is an old man and is prone to repeating himself. Most of his crimes and failures are not new, it is just that he keeps doing them.

margaretclark210@yahoo.com's avatar

Yet he miraculously dredges up from his own depths to keep going. To my mind its almost inhuman.

There's no truth from this wh. We need dems to fight back resolutely

Douglas Gilligan's avatar

Agreed. The old playbook of supporting the status quo is broken now. The idea of protecting the 'system', the 'accepted standards of behavior' is gone. The concept that negotiating and fighting for 'bipartisan' means anything other than letting Republicans corrupt, weaken and undermine the perfectly good intent of a bill is just plain stupid. Sometimes Republicans can vote for something good, let them, just don't trust them. They have broken that trust too many ways for too long now. If they are interested, they will need to work long and hard to earn back trust, but NEVER sacrifice a bill's integrity for the 'political win' of Bipartisan again.

margaretclark210@yahoo.com's avatar

We despair in Scotland for what he's done to your country. We don't mock. We feel sadness on your behalf. Small consolation I suppose, however, heartfelt. I am angry. We are angry.

Douglas Gilligan's avatar

Support in any form is always appreciated. It is together we gain confidence.

Russ's avatar

This is why your betting parlors should be closed as they feed the rumors. If you are looking for truth involving Trump, there is no hope for you.

margaretclark210@yahoo.com's avatar

I don't frequent bookies in Scotland.

Russ's avatar

Good for you. There are better ways to waste money. Not sure how far betting has gone in the UK. The term "fight fixing" comes to mind when bettors try to fix the odds in their favor.

I say this because here in the USA we have an entire political party devoted to making failure look like success. Be glad your political system allows taking out the rubbish, easier and faster. We can only do it every 4 years when our idiotic, illiterate electorate decides who will be president based on the wife's dress and make up not on the real issues.

margaretclark210@yahoo.com's avatar

But we have the scourge and real detriment to true democracy, the royal family and the Droit de signeur.

Its abhorrent.

Horrible deference to one vile family.

Who are utterly corrupt.

Russ's avatar

I thought I was the only person that felt that way. Good for you. Not sure how European monarchy perpetuates itself. They have had centuries to fix the rules in their favor. I doubt God appointed them. I find the king travelling with a private toilet disgusting. Prior to that, I did not think kings needed to go to the bathroom.

Well so much for the lessons of history, the USA now has its own king and our oval office is soon to be called the throne room. Can you spare a crown?
