Trump Kept for Himself Most of $147 Million He Raised for 2022
In the latest example of Donald Trump's dishonest financial practices, the former president kept most of the $147 million raised from supporters who believed they were helping Trumpian candidates in the 2022 midterms. In October, Trump transferred $60 million from his Save America Leadership PAC to his Make America Great Again Inc. super PAC. He also transferred millions from other existing pro-Trump super PACs and from new contributions. However, only $15 million was actually put towards helping Republican candidates in five Senate races, and none of the money went to assist Herschel Walker in his failed runoff bid earlier this month. Despite this history of grifting, many of Trump's supporters continue to fall for his scams, likely because they want what is best for their leader, even if it comes at their own expense and makes them look foolish.
RED ALERT: Texas AG Demands List of Transgender People
In June, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton requested that a state agency release a list of transgender individuals in the state. Employees at the Texas Department of Public Safety were asked to compile a list of individuals who requested a gender change on their driver's licenses and other official records going back two years. Paxton claims that he needs the list to comply with a state law requiring people to use bathrooms in accordance with the gender listed on their birth certificate. However, this request appears to be a thinly-veiled attempt to create an enemies list that could be used to target or harass trans people. This type of list has historically been used to harm the individuals on it, and should be viewed as a disturbing sign for the trans community and their allies.

How Tucker Carlson Turns Reality Into Conspiracy Theory
Fox News propagandist Tucker Carlson put together a masterclass on how to spin benign reality into a nefarious conspiracy theory. The context was Joe Biden signing into law the Respect for Marriage Act which will to some degree protect same-sex and interracial marriages from being struck down by the right-wing Supreme Court. Tucker gave some half-hearted support for the legislation before turning the story into something about Biden supporting gender-affirming care for children. Tucker said, “so this is a bill signing affirming the legality, legalizing once again gay marriage, which most people support in this country. Should people be able to get married if they love each other? Yeah, they should. That’s fine. Not that controversial a point at this stage. But here’s Joe Biden using that opportunity to promote gender-affirming care for kids. And of course, that means the sexual mutilation of children. Cutting the breasts off fifteen-year-olds, sterilizing them for life with chemicals.” Carlson has the ability to go zero to one hundred in the blink of an eye and that’s exactly how he’s able to radicalize and rile up his millions of viewers every night.

Fox Host: We Were Appalled at What Trump Said
There is mounting evidence that Fox News is distancing itself from Donald Trump in anticipation of the 2024 election. The latest example comes in the form of an interview with former Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao by Fox News host Stuart Varney. During the interview, Varney brought up how Trump had previously attacked Chao, making fun of her ethnicity and calling her "Coco Chao." When asked for her thoughts on Trump's words, Chao responded by saying that she doesn't make a point of responding to his comments. Varney followed up by stating that he and everyone at Fox News were “appalled” by Trump's words. This criticism from Varney comes far too late and only once it has become clear that Trump is in a weakened position among Republican voters. But it does serve as yet another sign that Fox News is distancing itself from Trump as the 2024 primary season approaches.
