Newsmax host's brain breaks in crazy anti-trans rant
Eric Bolling on his Newsmax program expressed his confusion about transgenderism and people with disabilities in a way that showed just how clueless he and many on the right are about these topics. The discussion centered around swimmer Lia Thomas and the growing anti-trans vendetta among the American right wing. Bolling made an analogy between gender expression and disability. He said, “What if someone, a man, decided he wanted to identify as a handicapped person? Could they just win the Special Olympics because they identify — we’re all supposed to go, okay, well, let's not be racist against trans because, I mean, it's insane. We've gone crazy.” Gender expression is the external manifestation of gender identity, which may or may not align with a person's sex at birth. In contrast, a disability is a physical or mental impairment that limits a person's ability to perform certain tasks or engage in certain activities. Identifying as a handicapped person, despite having no actual disability or limitation, is not valid or legitimate as an expression of identity. Bolling with this comparison is being disrespectful and trivializing the experiences of people with disabilities as well as trans individuals.
A disturbing video of a Christian sex story was unearthed by Hemant Mehta, who writes for the Friendly Atheist Substack. The clip features Dr. Glenn Hill and his wife, Phyllis Hill, who were interviewed by Bethany Beal, co-host of the pro-abstinence podcast “Girl Defined.” Ms. Hill revealed that for a long time, she believed she had no clitoris until her friend showed her where it was located on her baby girl. The couple also discussed sexual dysfunction and a lack of pleasure during sex. Dr. Hill describes himself as a “clinical sexologist” with a Ph.D. The video was set to private after it was discovered, and the couple appears to be trying to scrub the internet of the footage. The video is immensely disturbing and creepy, and it appears to be borderline child abuse and worthy of the attention of Child Protective Services.
From yesterday’s show:
Ron DeSantis event with his wife goes CRINGE quick
Even though Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s presidential campaign has not yet started, it appears to quickly be falling apart. Amidst flooding and gas lines in Florida, DeSantis has been attending non-campaign events, including one with his wife in South Carolina, which turned out to be cringe-worthy and seemingly scripted. The couple told a coordinated story about how they had a Disney wedding, but it was all before Disney went “woke”. DeSantis also did a formal event in South Carolina where he talked about the Florida blueprint, promoting the idea that South Carolina and other red states should follow Florida’s lead. However, he failed to recognize that Florida is a mediocre state in terms of infrastructure, crime, and education, ranking around 25th out of 50 in most categories. Overall, DeSantis’s failings are good for former President Trump, who is the clear frontrunner to win the 2024 Republican primary.
From yesterday’s show:
Trump pounding DeSantis, trying to prevent him from running
Donald Trump put out a video attacking Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is now the ex-president’s chief political rival. Reports suggest there is a movement within the Trump camp to crush DeSantis before he even announces his intention to run for the 2024 presidency, with the aim of getting him to not run at all. Trump said in the video, “Ron's poll numbers are dropping so fast and furious that many people are speculating he's not going to run.” It’s clear that Trump wants an easy path to the nomination and to face off solely against lower-polling candidates. While Trump is polling well, DeSantis is still polling in second place, making it difficult for him to pass up a run for the presidency. The situation is complicated, as even if DeSantis only polls at 24%, a presidential run would still give him more national attention, and he could potentially build upon his numbers. DeSantis still has some time to make his ultimate decision, but he seems determined to carry forward and follow through with the national campaign.
