Trump Can't Find People to Speak at His Pathetic Rally
Former President Donald Trump is reportedly struggling to gain support from state lawmakers for a rally he has planned in South Carolina this weekend. State lawmakers are not showing any enthusiasm for participating in the event despite Trump's team making numerous phone calls to potential supporters. This is possibly because many South Carolinian residents disapprove of Trump, and state politicians may not want to be publicly tied to him if their constituents do not support him. Also, some of the state's Republicans are considering running for president themselves, such as Nikki Haley and Tim Scott. Some state representatives have even gone as far as trying to pass legislation that undermines some of Trump's policy ideas. This lack of support from state lawmakers could be a problem for Trump's campaign efforts in the future. The failed former president is already having loads of issues even though his 2024 campaign has only been underway for a couple of months and he still has the better part of two years to go before the election.
Tucker Carlson Suggests Mike Pence Working with Prosecutors to Screw Trump
Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson has proposed a theory about the recent discovery of classified documents at Mike Pence's house. Carlson suggests that Pence may have been working with the Justice Department, led by Attorney General Merrick Garland, to distract from Joe Biden's actions and harm Donald Trump. Carlson also posits that Pence was asked by federal prosecutors to search his home for classified documents in order to build a case against Trump. Of course, the real reason Carlson is putting this theory forward is to obfuscate the story about Trump, Biden, and Pence all having been found in possession of classified documents. Trump’s case clearly is the most damning one, as he deliberately took material with him to Mar-a-Lago after leaving office. He also refused to comply with the National Archives’ request to return the documents and lied about having done so already. But that type of honest assessment is not going to be found on Tucker Carlson’s program.
From yesterday’s show:
George Santos Says He Survived Assassination Attempt
An interview has surfaced of now-Congressman George Santos giving an interview in Portuguese wherein he claimed he was the victim of an attempted murder in New York City and that he is currently under police protection. Santos said that he was at 5th Avenue and 55th Street in Manhattan during the middle of the day and that muggers took his watch and his shoes. He claims they targeted him because he’s a Republican. Of course, there is no evidence to support this claim and reporters reached out to Santos' office for more information, but have not yet received a response. Santos also explained in the interview how he is supposedly under police protection after someone tried to kill him. George Santos has proven time and time again he’ll lie about everything and there is very little chance that these stories are actually true.
From yesterday’s show:
Ron DeSantis Bans Black History Because It Includes "Queer" "Indoctrination"
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is defending his Department of Education's decision to ban Advanced Placement (AP) African-American history in the state’s high schools. The reason given for the ban is that the class was supposedly teaching students activism and intersectionality, encouraging ending the war on black, trans, queer, and gender nonconforming people, and queer theory. DeSantis called the subject matter indoctrination and said in particular that queer theory has no place in a class about African-American studies. He defended the decision by saying this was an optional class anyway and school curricula already teach black history. DeSantis will take any opportunity he gets to insert himself in the culture war and it’s clear the Florida Education Department did this primarily so he could virtue signal to his right-wing constituents.
