NRA Guy BRUTALLY Fact-Checked on His Obvious Lies
An NRA convention attendee was brutally fact-checked on video by our friends over at the Good Liars. Jason Selvig interviewed a man who asserted that more people in the United States are killed every year by hammers than by guns. Selvig didn’t think the claim sounded right, so he decided to look it up on the spot. What he found was that handguns and other firearms are the murder weapons that are used in the vast majority of cases, followed by knives, then fists and feet, and only then come blunt objects like hammers. When confronted with the facts, the man being interviewed said, “[the] Second Amendment is still my right and it’s still important to me.” This goes to show that no matter what arguments are presented to these people that some level of gun control makes sense, they can always fall back on gun ownership being a constitutional right that has to be kept in place for its own sake.
Trump FLIPS OUT When Jury Acquits Hillary's Lawyer
Donald Trump flipped out over former Hillary Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann getting acquitted of allegedly lying to the FBI about Trump-Russia in the 2016 race. Trump and his allies have been talking about the John Durham investigation for months which has been looking into the origins of the Trump-Russia scandal. Sussmann’s alleged lying to the FBI was supposed to serve as the smoking gun in the case to vindicate Trump. Instead, he was found not guilty by a jury of his peers. Trump sounded in shambles based on his response post to Truth Social. The former president said, “our Legal System is CORRUPT, our Judges (and Justices!) are highly partisan, compromised or just plain scared, our Borders are OPEN, our Elections are Rigged, Inflation is RAMPANT, gas prices and food costs are ‘through the roof,’ our Military ‘Leadership’ is Woke, our Country is going to HELL, and Michael Sussmann is not guilty. How’s everything else doing? Enjoy your day!!!” The losses continue for Trump who had already been struggling to maintain his grip on relevance.

Trump's Brain Breaks on "COVFEFE" at Sick Rally
The day after speaking at the NRA convention and dancing on stage, Donald Trump flew to Wyoming to campaign for Harriet Hageman. Hageman is running for the at-large House seat representing Wyoming currently held by Congresswoman Liz Cheney. Cheney has become a top enemy of Trump and Republican leadership ever since the January 6th insurrection and she even went so far as to vote for Trump’s impeachment. During the speech, rather than talk about the issues facing Wyoming and the country, Trump rambled on about Barack Obama supposedly spying on his 2016 campaign and the infamous “covfefe” tweet. When he did talk about the race, Trump called Cheney an “atrocious RINO” and Hageman a “conservative warrior.” The polling doesn’t look great for Cheney, so Trump may be able to get a win with this race happening on August 16th.
From yesterday’s show:
WOW: MULTIPLE Republicans CHANGE MINDS, Open to Banning Assault Rifles
For decades now, after mass shootings, right wingers have claimed nothing should be done about gun control and most are maintaining that position even after last week’s tragedy in Uvalde, Texas. However, now there are a few Republican politicians who are saying something needs to be done about gun safety regulations. One example is Representative Adam Kinzinger, who went on CNN and said, “I have opposed a ban fairly recently. I think I’m open to a ban now.” Kinzinger has become an anti-Trump Republican and he’s leaving office at the end of his term, but at least someone is speaking up. Another example is Congressman Chris Jacobs, who said his perspective on gun control has changed in the wake of the mass shooting in Buffalo, New York. The NRA-endorsed Republican said he would vote for a bill banning assault weapons and raising the age requirement on some gun purchases to 21. These two about-faces don’t necessarily mean the dam in Republican politics is breaking, but at least it’s a start.
