David, call Senators and Congress. Tell them to set themselves up as a barricade to bulldozer with hardhats on ..United…joined hands…stop the crazy! One picture is worth a thousand words!
The destruction of bldg WH and democracy must end!
It's all so maddening I could cry. But I won't... even though my eyes water all on their own. Truly, these are unimaginable times. After all the crap Trump's pulled, he continues to do the unthinkable. And, desecrating The People's House is beyond crazy; it's criminally insane.
WTH are we going to do? The entire regime is lying their ass off. Assolini is totally unhinged. If any President had dumped a load of feces on the American People like Nero did then Widdle Mikey can lie about satire all he wants. That wasn’t satire or a Freudian slip. That’s how he feels.
Now OUR House. The WH is being demolished for a tacky gold plated ballroom. I hope Lincoln’s ghost plays Hell with that old fool. Our precious beautiful & beloved Rose Garden being made into a parking lot was horrific but this is madness. They’re saying the money is coming from donors. You know it’s just another lie. More taxpayer money wasted. Bankrupting the country and stealing us all blind is what the idiot is doing. He’s bankrupted everything he’s ever touched. Christ! Who can bankrupt a casino!!! We are in deep feces. I guess that was the purpose of that AI.
That’s our house and our history he’s destroying!! None of us have permission. And, once again, he lied about something when he said he wouldn’t touch the existing structure.
What is being done is a travesty. But what did u expect from the clown! My concern is his likelihood to use the Insurrection Act against us that has no guard rails to protect us or his threatening to decertify elections in each state to make our votes null and void. That is the area of our countries security takeover that alarms me more. When are we going to use Article 2 section 4 to remove him and his cabinet that are dismantling our country one brick at a time? Get real people we are under an extreme threat by this asshole!
I’ve been thinking more about protesting Congress as opposed to protesting Trump. Or asking myself: what puts pressure on Congress. Isn’t it really Congress who are not doing their job.
republican congresspeople aren't there working. My Democratic Congresswoman, Hilary Scholten, is doing a public zoom meeting today at 1. We can't say all of Congress when it isn't. Both sides don't do it.
They take their recess more serious than their jobs. Why is it congress gets paid when military and civil servants do not? What about shared sacrifice?
these republicans and maggots including with their INCOMPETENTCY OFwhat they call prez DO NEED TO BE THROWN OUT OF OFFICE. And MY OPINION IS THAT they ARE HIDING THE DEMENTIA AND ALZHEIMER'S DECLINE OF this JACKASS.
Yes, David, the call for a national/general strike is spot-on. Gene Sharp, the world's foremost scholar/expert on strategic nonviolent action understood its power being deployed at precisely the right time in a movement to topple a dictator. I might have mentioned the multiple award-winning documentary about Sharp's life and work and how his writings have been adopted by nonviolent uprisings and revolutions across the globe in recent history:
"How to Start a Revolution" (1 hr. 22 min. on YouTube)
Calling it the "Patriot" Ballroom in order to sell it to his MAGA constitutes isn't going to keep future Democratic Presidents or Congress from approving its demolition and restoring the White House to it's original historic state. I can almost visualize a preservationist movement lobbing for its resurrection. Same goes for the concrete deck. I understand the WH staff potted all those Cherry Blossom trees to await replanting.
Trump treats everything in government--including the White House and grounds--as his personal possessions, to do with whatever he pleases. He argues that he is not a king; but then he goes ahead and acts like one.
Actually kings do NOT act like this. CZARS do. TYRANTS do. DICTATORS do. Please face up to the reality of what is happening to your country and to you.
I'm well aware that Trump is a tyrant/dictator/czar, and so are millions of others. Don't be so snarky, we've been taken over by a vicious cult and we're fighting back. Hope you never find yourself in this position.
I was not being in the least snarky and I am sorry (on two levels) that you took my comments that way. You need not be so defensive--especially since I support what you are doing. But when what you are doing and not doing is unproductive and ineffective and potentially too late, you should take experienced, informed, and well-intentioned criticism for what it is. You didn't listen to the world before and I doubt that you will listen now. It just doesn't seem to be "the American way" to do so. I am not anti-American and have been a pacifist forever; so I am not advocating taking a violent approach (which would fail anyway). It is up to you to solve your own problems. But it might be helpful to you to at least take into consideration input from outside your bubble. And calling yourselves a No Kings movement instead of, as you admit, what would be more accurate, just isn't winning you some otherwise potentially allies.
I'm not thrilled with the "No Kings" slogan either. But here's something that the "outside world" needs to understand about the U.S: in 2026 we will be marking the 250th anniversary of our Declaration of Independence, the document that spelled out the colonies' grievances against King George III and instigated the movement against monarchy. Several of those grievances are similar to what we abhor about Trump. So even if outsiders don't get it, "No Kings" has and will have a particular resonance in the States that "no czars" and "no dictators" does not. 2026 is also the year of our mid-term elections, which will decide the configuration of our Congress. Yes, I know that is a long time to wait, too long in fact. But it's not just a matter of deposing Trump. We also need to build a movement that is strong enough to affect those mid-term elections, not only by moving the cultists (who probably comprise 33% of the voters) away from Trump and the Republican Party, but also win over those who are not enthusiastic about his Democrat opponents either. Otherwise, the effort to jettison Trump will lead most assuredly to a civil conflict, such as we had in 1860-1865. So our new independence movement must be pragmatic but also transformative; that is not an easy tightrope to walk. I'm sorry for the problems that Trump has caused the rest of the world. I urge other nations to do one thing to help the movement and yourselves: if Trump calls, do not answer the phone, do not meet with him. Do not invite him to your lands, and expressly forbid his entry. He wants attention, he wants to feel like he rules the world. Traveling to other countries makes him feel appreciated, honored, presidential. If instead he feels isolated, abandoned, rejected--he will not be able to take it and will certainly have a mental breakdown. When that happens, our 25th Amendment will kick in, and he will be relieved of duty. But regardless of Trump's fate, this country still needs a thoroughly successful and transformative movement, something that will take a lot of hard work.
Now that people are starting to realize they do not stand alone when opposing Trump, people are starting to look at opposing Trump on everything. For too long Trump has 'flooded the zone' with each new crime or obscenity crowding out a prior evil deed for the public's attention, each one, because it got set aside, became part of the 'accepted' sins done to us. It is past time to list them ALL. Every crime, abuse of power, usurpation of power, ignoring of the laws, ignoring of the courts, violation of the Constitution, every bribe he accepted and extorted... they all add up. Every day Trump makes another accusation, another lie, another promise to grab more power, to hurt others... pushing the limits an inch at a time so that people keep moving the 'red line' because why take a bold action of opposition when it is just a 'little bit more' than last time.
Ask the question: Where is the limit, the line which if Trump crosses it you could not support him anymore. What principle, which moral, which sin that Trump committed would be too much for you to accept. If there are none, then just admit you have no limits, no principles, no morals, that you embrace every sin. If you have a limit, then look around. You will likely find Trump has already crossed it. Consider what your limit would have been for Biden, or Obama, or Hillary...
If you oppose 'illegal' immigrants "Because they broke the law" then why do you not oppose Trump who has repeatedly broken our laws? If you claim all those convictions and court rulings were unfair, then you should look into those cases in detail, not just the summary Trump gave you, or that you saw on Fox.
If you support Trump because you feel you are in a war for 'social justice', consider all the injustices being committed in the name of that war. How many Transgenders have caused you harm? How many people need to die without insurance? How many children need to starve when the food was already paid for and on the way to them? How much damage did it do to have slavery called out as 'BAD'? How many women need to die or be treated as slaves in order to enforce your religious beliefs on others? How many children need to be shot down in mass shootings before you consider treating Guns as dangerous as Cars? Perhaps you can learn to accept that society changes over time, and that other perspectives of where the harm is can be looked at with something other than hate.
Well said, however the people that need to read this will not ever see it, nor moved by it if they do.
All of us wonder how far is too far? He has crossed every line we thought existed and still plows on. Remember Dems supported Dianne Feinstein to work until the bitter end. We do not want to be accused of age or elder discrimination, do we????
Mental decline is only one of MANY reasons Trump should be nowhere near any authority whatsoever. Do not fall into the trap of being afraid of accusations. Trump and his minions have proven time and again, even when you do nothing they will STILL accuse you of everything.
Trump himself set the standard with his attacks on Biden.
Yes, I know I am on this site speaking to the converted, but it is through spreading ideas, what you might call 'talking points', that eventually people can hear an idea that resonates for them. We should not limit ourselves to only ideas that we want to hear, because at some point we need to connect with those are are not complete cultists, but are simply people who got slow walked away from who they are at their core.
Yes, there are many haters who see Trump as their permission to do their damage, but there are many others who had not developed resistance to the various 'persuasion' techniques Trump has used, who might just need a nudge.
I posted the approach here to help people see how many of those who supported Trump got to where they are, an inch at a time, by never setting a bright red limit line and holding to it.
Saying it eleventy billion times doesn't change anything or make anything better, but, we told everyone it was going to be this bad. They had a written guide, project 25, all ready to go once back inside, we knew their plan. But I have to say it one more time, we told you so. They had a plan and it wasn't a good one, amongst all it's public page's, it has one insidious theme, conquer. Conquer and, not just the other side but eventually the ones that blindly, foolishly thought they, we, were getting a better life. Now they're finding out the message is a scam and the messenger's are lying crooks. We told you it was going to be bad and it is, it's getting worse, way worse. Let's do what we can by getting and sharing truthful, factual information to all eligible voters. I'm hopeful that many in the maga cult are waking up but Democrats have to get off our butts and get a message of, this ain't right, we can turn this around for the better and here's how.
Well said, but there is a flip side to all this. Many of the maggots are not interested in a better, prosperous USA. They cannot afford to buy a house or rent, pay for a car and may even be homeless. The cost of living has made their lives destitute. So if they cannot have a piece of the pie, vote for the guy that can take it away from everyone else.
Trump has no right to destroy part of the White House to build a monstrous and unnecessary ballroom!
This destruction of the People's property will come back to bite him mercilessly.
I agree! How about we the people? All that money on a stupid ballroom, how about your Americans Drumph we could use some financial help!
David, call Senators and Congress. Tell them to set themselves up as a barricade to bulldozer with hardhats on ..United…joined hands…stop the crazy! One picture is worth a thousand words!

My octagenarian kin relatives are angry hurt teared i hear ya
Thank you so much, Victoria. We are ALL in this together. Thank goodness for the lovely, caring folks who give us hope.
It's all about whims with him. Destructive whims. That's been his life's endeavor, in particular himself.
Yes, and no one stops him because they have their own agenda once Trump is gone (dead).

Want to see the donor list. Is it tax deductable? Under what authority can a major federal construction project get fast track approval?
I pity the construction company trying to get paid. Hope for their sake money was paid up front. Doubt it.

Any fool can run a wrecking ball: it takes a carpenter with a plan to build. Give POTUS#47 enough rope & he'll hang himself. God help the USA!

Misery loves company.
What happened to the people who worked in that wing? Fired or shuffled off to rented offices which is more wasted money.
