He wouldn't have tried to make the files disappear if he wasn't in them. Anyone who has heard him talk knows he's a disturbed individual. I think his pattern of behavior is well documented for the beginning of his career. Why anyone would be surprised by his selfish actions haven't been paying attention.
I heard a rumor that RFK2 is ordering a new logo and slogan for HHS: on the logo the eagle will be replaced by a raven and the slogan “Improving the health, safety, and well-being of America" will be changed to "Bring out your dead."
It does boggle the mind that all those calling for Dr Fauci's head are fine with RFK2 calling the shots.
Wonder what it would have been like had RFK2 been in charge during Covid and discouraging vaccine development. It is amazing how the deniers, having made it thru Covid, are still thinking it was a hoax. They made it thru on the shoulders of herd immunity by the majority who got the vaccine.
Not to counter my argument, but there were those harmed by the vaccine. These should have been compensated and not told it was all in their head.
Considering that it had been over a hundred years since the Spanish Flu epidemic and that covid was an unknown, it is remarkable how well the public health establishment, which is now being eviscerated by the Trump admin, responded. It's easy in hindsight to criticize and condemn for things that could in retrospect been done better.
If Dr. C. Everett Koop had faced the political headwinds that confronted Dr. Fauci during covid and its aftermath, there would still be cigarette advertising on television and people would still be smoking in public places today.
Until Covid, America was ok with vaccines. Bible thumpers said it was God's punishment for gay marriage and transgender acceptance. Meanwhile the internet gives voice to conspiracists who dream up cockeyed theories against vaccine science. This has cemented distrust that will not go away. So until measles or someother epidemic becomes mainstream again, there is no fixing ignorance.
Having said the above, the very ones complaining would be the same complaining that govt was not doing enough if the disease hits them.
